One would think so, but no I just choose to read the direct translation of what he said instead of the medias interpretation.
You do realise that most/all media outlets get any Farsi translated text from MERMI don't you, and one only as to google on them to see there Israeli connections for them to be anything but unbiased in there interpretations.

Hmmm... I was unaware, but nonetheless, I doubt that any doubt can be cast on his meaning. Downplaying it or denying it have the same goal: making a mockery of history, and alienating Jews and the Israeli state.

Iran has less problems of racism against Jews than Saudi Arabia. He is asking about a solution against "Zionism" very much different from Jews. Its easy to interpret things wrongly in the case of foreigners, people from different cultural background think and interpret things differently. Ahmad propably thinks in his way that Germany, the main cause of the support for Zionism might want to take a hand in resolving it.

Seems to me, Ahmadinejad assumes the Germans dislike the Jews...wonder what makes him think so, if (as he ALSO said) the holocaust never happened!
I would be interested in knowing what the local Germans on this borad think of this letter. And what the hell Ahmadinejad is thinking by appealing to Germany.

Historically speaking, Germany was one of the LEAST anti-semitic countries in Europe.

Ahh yes, Irans and their Holocaust denial. Someone should rub a history book in the Iranian's noses that there was a Holocaust and it did exist and not some fictional event.

I would tell them to "Put a helmet on!" and put their noses in the history books on World War II and the Holocaust insted of the Quran.
