kisses can be indecent?
She was wearing a glove....he never actually touched her. Well, I suppose there are stupid people in every society....and in the societies with lots of stupid people, there are many very stupid people.
I hope they stone him like they do with rape victims.

This is a great example of how different Western and Iranian, or Islamic cultures are. To most Westerners, including me, the above is pure comedy. But to them its very serious business. I wonder what internal Western debates of ours they find to be just as funny.May 2, 2007 12:45 p.m. EST

Tehran, Iran (AHN) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is being accused of "indecency" by ultra conservative members in the government after publicly embracing an elderly woman who used to be his schoolteacher.
The incident comes while Ahmadinejad was celebrating Iranian teacher's day on Tuesday, during which he kissed the woman's hand and clasped her arms.
Despite the fact that the teacher, who has not been named, was wearing thick gloves, a headscarf, and long black coat to prevent skin contact, Ahmadinejad's kiss still generated anger among Iran's hardline elements.

You could be right. Especially gun control. As far as I can tell, gun ownership is much more common in the Middle East than in the West, even the US.Probaly gun control or freedom of speech.
