Ajax - Az'67 1-0

Wow! Totally forgot about this thread. Let me first show some results:

Heerenveen - Ajax 5-1
Ajax - Willem II 4-1
Ajax - FC Copenhagen 0-1
De Graafschap - Ajax 1-1
Ajax - NAC 1-3
Ajax - PSV 1-3
Ajax - FC Twente 3-2

Now that are some pretty nasty results. I don't know what to think of the sacking of Co Adriaanse. He's a great coach, no doubt, but he lacks tactical sight. He played a 5-3-2 system in the beginning, which gave ajax a very stable defence and they bagged 3 points every game. Then he went to the 4-4-2, it went good, but then he got back to the classical-ajax-system: 4-3-3. He did stupid things, put the players in the wrong places, etc., etc. Good examples: he placed star-player Van der Vaart as man behind the striker (central midfielder), he's much better as left midfielder! He place Wamberto as striker, the place where he failed the last 3 years! He was great as the central midfielder! He put Galasek back in the team after he had an injurie. He slowed the game down, and just doesn't seem to do anythin right at the moment. None tactical insight of what kind ever. None at all. Though I think it would've been better for the team if he would've left later. Next season I hope Rijkaard will be coach, maybe with Blind and Van Basten. At least Witschge will be back.

Can I ask where PSV are in the league now? I notice that Ajax lost 3 - 1 against them...

PSV is no. 5, but no. 6 Vitesse ( thats where Ajax's new coach : Ronald Koeman is coming from ) has played 2 games less and only 1 point less.

1. Feyenoord 14 - 31
2. Ajax 14 - 29
3. Heerenveen 15 - 28
4. NAC 15 - 27
5. PSV 16 - 27
6. Vitesse 14 - 26
7. FC Utrecht 15 - 24
8. RKC 16 - 23
9. AZ 16 - 20
10. Willem II 15 - 18
11. NEC 15 - 18
12. De Graafschap 16 - 17
13. FC Groningen 16 - 17
14. FC Den Bosch 15 - 16
15. FC Twente 15 - 16
16. Sparta 15 - 16
17. Roda JC 16 - 15
18. Fortuna Sittard 14 - 9

And Ajax has taken back the lead! In the first game of Ronald Koeman as coach, Ajax beat Fortuna Sittard 4-0! Ajax played in the old traditional 4-3-3 with wingers that give the assists. As a chenge, the strikers scored! First Machlas and then Zlatan twice!

Posting the standings in the dutch league is pretty cool but lets face it, the only important standing is the one at the end of the season and then there will be only one team at the number 1 position: FC UTRECHT :p

I like this thread because its very informative. Still sticking with my choose of PSV as champions since there are plenty of games left for them to catch up.

Man UTD are doing rubbish in the league but they won 3 - 0 against Boavista last night so they are top of their group in the champions league. :goodjob:

Well, the Dutch league is very different from the English. See, usually when you start the season bad and are about 6th at christmas, you'll barely make it into the top 3. However, I assume PSV will set things straight, and both NAC and FC Utrecht are teams that probably won't be able to keep their place up there. Heerenveen will be more difficult though: they do have the players to stay on the 3rd place.

What??? Soooooo wrong!!!!!!! :p
Remember last year? Utrecht didn't play UEFA cup for nothing you know, they finished fifth. So they must be able to go up a few places. At least I hope. :)

What I meant was, that in the end they probably won't be able to keep PSV behing them. But let's face it: Utrecht plays very good at the moment, and next year will be another year of UEFA-cup for them (and hopefully Championsleague for Ajax). NAC will probably go down further and end around the #8 position.

Ajax 2 had a nice run in the Amstel Cup this year (the Dutch FA Cup), and last wednesday they had to play the 1/8 final game against FC Twente. Earlier de Graafschap (2-0), Haarlem (4-0) and Volendam (3-2) were beaten in the cup run.
Ajax' 1st team had a match against RBC the same day, scheduled after the game of Ajax 2, meaning you get to see 2 matches instead of one when going to the stadium! :D

Ajax 2 did very well, they actually ruled the game. FC Twente scored the 1-0 though, and it would stay 1-0 'till deep in the second half. But then in the 87th minute, the Australian midfielder Jason Culina scored a most beautiful goal from about 20 meters froom the goal, meaning a sudden death. In de sudden death Ajax 2 got a penalty and they scored: Ajax 2, which excists of U-21 players only, goes to the quarter finals.
Ajax 1 played very bad. They faced an offensive RBC, something they hadn't expected, and it was RBC that took the lead. Seven minutes later, Rafael van der Vaart scored the equalizer though. However, the Ajax defence sucked once again, and RBC managed to get a 1-3 lead!!! But Ajax came back with a goal and a penalty to 3-3. The sudden death that followed was a very good one by Ajax, the only one between Ajax and the quarter finals was the RBC goalie Wim de Ron, who had a terrific day. But then in the 107th minute, Wamberto scored the golden goal, and Ajax 1 qualified for the 1/4 final as well.

The 1/4 finals:

Ajax 2 - Telstar
FC Utrecht - Heerenveen
Ajax - FC Groningen
PSV - Feyenoord

So it seems more than possible that Ajax 2 will even get to the semi finals, something they never did before. They reached the 1/4 finals one time before, in '92 or '93 or something. Now I've been thinking: what if Ajax and Feyenoord face eachother in the final? They will probably be the #1 and 2 in the league, meaning Championsleague. Then there has to come a match between the two other semi-finalists for the UEFA-cup place. I think Ajax 2 will decline then, but what if? Would be cool, 2 Ajax teams in European Football. :D I wonder if it's possible though.....

Last weekend Feyenoord played against PSV in Rotterdam. The result was a lousy 0-0. Ajax didn't do much better, against Roda JC they played a 1-1.

But!!! Yesterday! Ajax played Vitesse in Amsterdam, and just crushed them with 5-1, 3 goals by Rafael van der Vaart. Feyenoord played against the #17, was 1-0 behind 'till the 59' and 62' minute when they took the lead. But in the 89' and 93' minute Fc Twente scored two more goals, so Feyenoord lost.
Ajax has taken back the lead in the league now, and is 1 point ahead of Feyenoord. :D

Off course after being humiliated by FC Kopenhagen (who:confused: ) ajax has only the competition to focus on, witch, with a poor selection like that, is probebly a good thing for the former 'sons of gods' .
Still its a long way to go and my money isnt on the jodezonen oeps sorry godenzonen I ment :D

Btw, when is ajax finaly beating psv in the arena?:p

You can say a lot about Ajax, but not that their players are bad. I have no idea what team you support (though I guess it's de Kakkerlakken), but Ajax has by far the most talented players in its team and still is the richest club by far. Feyenoord is the club low on money, Vitesse the one without money and with serious depts. So no need for your money.
Now you're making fun of Jews. See what you don't get is that Ajax is a club (that used to be) runned by Jews, and that the supporters are proud of it, you tend to go towards an attitude as if it were something dirty. So you watch your words.

Final: Which team has won the Europacup I/Championsleague 4 times, played 6 finals, won the Cup Winners Cup and played 2 finals, and has twice as much championships Feyenoord has?! I think you know the answer.....

Now stay friendly, aight? And go learn English. Not saying I'm good at it, but what you wrote: 'witch' 'probebel' Man that sucks.

And besides that you're very funny! Only the league to focus on? Now listen to me (and watch tv a bit better), Ajax is the club with two teams in the Quarter Final of the Cup! As can be read in my previous posts, they even have a good chance to both get in the Semi Final.

Think of this scenario: Ajax 1 wins, Ajax 2 wins, Feyenoord wins, Heerenveen wins. Then Ajax - Heerenveen and Feyenoord - Ajax 2. Ajax and Feyenoord win. They play the final, but since they'll probably finish as the #1 and #2 they both go to the Championsleague. So the UEFA-cup ticket will be given to either Heerenveen or Ajax 2........Heerenveen might finish 3rd this season (qualification Championsleague, otherwise to UEFA-cup), which means the UEFA-cup ticket goes to Ajax 2. :D

ehhh most talented players, this should be psv, they've been buying up talents by the dozen last couple of years.

richest by far? Since feyenoord got this ono guy, they are getting probebly 20 mil euro from japan alone in the nxt few years

But hey, you spend 20 mil on matglas????
19 on zlatan??????

Only good player you have is vd vaart, although hose could make some money kickbocking;)

btw who are the 'kakkerlakken'?

As for my team, we once marched through amsterdam with about 50 guys singing 'we gaan op jodenjach' none where to be found....
ask your daddy who these people where lil boy, you're probebly to young to remember..........
