MSTK: Depends on how busy you are... you kind of need to experiment, I guess, I usually try to have around 5, more than that and I'm too busy, less and I end up sitting around with not enough to do.

Highlights:

4000bc Scout n, ne. Settler SE (was standing on a cow) to coast. See a fish that will be in our borders upon expansion. Worker mines cow in place.

3950bc Settle Hattusas. Scout w,w to a mountain and sees a river with wheat.

3900bc scout west to another mountain.

3850bc to 3700bc first scout finds west coast and is heading N, but slowly.

3700 second scout built. start curragh. After this I plan a settler then granary.

3600bc lux slider to 20%

3550bc pop a hut and get a settler. Will walk back towards river/wheat site.
ibt: Hattusas curragh => granary since we got a free settler.

3500bc start a forest chop for the granary.

3350bc Lux slider to 40%

3300bc Looks like on an island - I haven't met anyone else yet.

3200bc Settle Tarsus.

3100bc pop a hut for maps.
ibt: Granary completes. Start another curragh.

3000bc see a Babylonian warrior :) . However he came from the west near the polar region of our landmass :mad: . In hindsight, I should have sent the first scout south when he reached the west coast. Our starting techs are known to them and we are down BW, WC, CB. Pop a hut for 25g. Babs won't trade anything.

settler is where I would plant him (I did not settle yet, leave it to next player since settler just arrived)
selected site due to river + ivory and we need to go in Babs direction
if you feel it's not a good location do not settle, maybe have a team discussion, somebody better come up with a dot map
there is a choke northwest guarded by many Babs spears
I feel very bad that I did not manage to get 1 single more contact, very strange

Not much until 2390 when we meet Osman. Trade him 87g, pottery and alpha for WC, BW, Masonry. Trade Hanni 4gpt, masonry for wheel. Trade Osman wheel for 147g, CB.

Ivory connected after 2230. Sight light green borders to the west after 2190. Greece?

Fiddle with the Hattusas settler pump.

Preturn- That's a killer start. I think that we can let Hattusas share a bit, I'll figure out a way. I like N-NW of Hattusas, 2 BG and access to any cow we choose. When we leave Despotism, Tarsus needs to be a worker farm, and it certainly can be.

Contact Alexander the great (OT- He looks like a nerd in the modern age, good civ for this game :lol: .) We're up Masonry, he's got 70 gold. No trade.

Disband a scout, the island is already explored.

Hattusha founded. Discover that the island is connected to another landmass, the scout shall go there.

Tyrana founded. Buy Iron Working from Alex for Masonry and 76 gold. Buy Mysticism from Osman for Iron Working. Now we're ahead of everyone but Osman. Discover Greek hoplite at chokepoint. There is iron near Ugarit.

Plan for Settler factory: Irrigate the two cows, 6 fpt and 3 spt total. Work mined grassland and mined hills, 6 spt total. Mine 2 another grasslands (1 for now) and that's 7, so 7-7-8-8 spt.
