Alan Partridge v The Office

Well I saw Dead Ringers last night and wasnt too impressed I have to say.

Partridge was pretty good - especially the first time he met his new friend

Harry Hill is great but I have to agree with Rout in that sometimes while watching the second C4 series I was getting a bit bored with the constant badger references. I used to love Gary the Channel 4 controller puppet though ("why do they stare?!")

What are you talking about? Bush winning the Greatest Briton on a recount, clown taking the place of firefighters and Dr Who on the London Eye...brilliant.

Agh, maybe - still think Bremner does the best Blair (but did like the phrase "lets pull together teeth"). Sure, there were some good bits but as a whole i thought it was fairly weak. bet they could boil the whole series down to, say, 3 great shows instead of 6 average ones.

I did like the GWB segment, that was very funny. I think it's by far the best impression of him.

The 'let's pull together teeth' was good, yes.

It was a bit hit and miss, though. I prefer it on the radio, when they impersonate some of the presenters and make fun of some of the programmes. Their strong point I always felt was as a Radio4 comedy, and that, naturally, has been lost when being transferred to TV.

Pillager - did you hear the repeats of RadioActive recently? Very good - makes you realise how funny Angus Deayton is and why HIGNFY isn't going to be that good without him for long.

Having slagged off Dead Ringers above I've just thought of another good bit - Thora Hurd nominating God as her favourite Briton ("his wonderful writing style in the Bible") was funny.

Sorry, old chap, hadn't seen your post. :p
I have heard some of them, yes, sually in the car on the way back from work, so I kind of half listen. It has been good, atlhough like most comedies, with some strengths and weaknesses. There was one sketch I particularly liked, but I can't remember what it was....
