Try thinking "out of the box"
Just because the GREAT AND MASTERFUL HUMAN RACE hasn't figured it out doesnt mean its not possible. Poeple once thought it was physcially impossible to do many things that are commonplace today.

If you live outside the box then why can't you just walk around it to get from one point to another? Or maybe even pick it up and rotate it in a way beneficial to you? Or even fold one end so it toaches another? Those inside the box won't mind because they don't have another vantage point to judge by. You're still thinking too conventionally.

Excuse me, but I LIVE outside of the box! I dont care how advanced a species is and what fanciful means of propulsion or "space folding" they use to get around. Any voyage to other star systems lightyears away would be a huge undertaking. ENORMOUS amounts of energy are required. IF you ever got to a system that could support your species, youd be there to stay, you wouldnt be making round trips.

Depends on the aliens' lifespans. They could live for 10,000 of our years. Granted, it would still be a huge undertaking, but we could fly to another planet now if we had considerably longer lifespans.
Our short lives, I think, are the greatest obstacle in space exploration.
THATS what Im talking about, thanks for the link Aphex. Doesnt matter how advanced they are, they cant beat physics. Theyre out there all right, but thats where theyre staying.Originally posted by Aphex_Twin

Apparently the ammount of energy needed to power a "warp" drive would be a little more than we could muster.
I would cancel preparations for the soon-to-come alien visit![]()
