Mostly when they're already on a release schedule though; Tuesday makes sense to me.

I'm not sure how the anniversary thing even started. They didn't announce Expansion 1 on the anniversary so why would they announce Expansion 2 on the anniversary?

Dunno about that version, but they did some stuff on Steam a few minutes ago. It's not a qa update though. They made a new package and copied a bunch of apps and depots to it.

Possibly, but the unknown DLC is not included. The depot is, but without the DLC, we'd be getting nothing new. Of course, things can be updated between now and then.

I think it is because Xcom 2 recently did anniversary DLC so many here expecting for them to do the same of Civilization VI.Amount of activities also directing us towards it.

DepotTest is the most important one. It has the mystery DLC app on it.

That's a reasonable thing for them to release prior to the holiday shopping season.

If this is the plan, I would expect it to come out with a patch, to boost positive feedback from current users.
