In the Philippines Associate battleships and marine divisions landed in Taiwan, taking the island in bitter fighting, inch by inch.
Afghanistan is nearly gone. Despite the heavy losses by Soviet troops, they have managed to push the Afghanis down to Southern Afghanistan, and occupying the capital, Kabul.
