AM6- 5CC Always War (Dare to try??)

I'm reading some AW reports now (mostly on Sirian's and Sullla's sites) and from what I can tell, Defensive UUs are key. They didn't go on the offensive until the Middle Ages. But, the Legion is offensive AND defensive...:mischief:

I'll also vote for Rome.

Also- when we meet someone, and they ask for a deal as soon as they pop up, can we take that deal before we declare war?
If so, what about other deals in the same screen before we declare war?

Could we demand tribute before we declare war?

Thats all for now:D

Amirsan, you don't get to vote 3 different times. If everyone did that the world would be in chaos. ;) Belisar is in Austria, so don't expect to hear from him until tomorrow. I like China.

Note: I'm heavily into Epic 32, so I may call for a skip. But I don't expect there will be a major conflict.

@bacon king. The answer to your question is yes. You cannot make gpt deals. You can do all other normal peace time activities. WM's are handy.

Call me old fashioned but I'm just a one man one vote kind a guy.

I dont see anything against it. My votes would only matter if there was a tie between rome/persia and another one...

and why does coffee cup say whats right? :D

Ok, I think Regent/small will be feasible, just make it a medium or small landmass (don't know the %), we don't need that much land with 5 cities anyway.
I stronly suggest a militaristic civ, so China is fine with me, Germany (scientific/mil will actually help us the most), would also be good, Rome is a decent call, any of this 3 is Ok.
Don't forget Japan, the Samurai is very good, even without horses.
If I have to vote, lets do it with China.

One more thing: Some non-player should check the map, we *need* iron and horses in reach.
And expect a challenge, since AW is difficult enough. We really need good turns with such limited production.

Alright, alright enough already.........but no 1/2 votes or half measures.

I support Belisars ideas. We need to ensure we have military resources inside our borders. For luxuries, on Regent, maybe not an early problem but building and defending distant colonies will be difficult. I think speed and control over the battlefield is the criteria.

I SAID HALF VOTE!!!!!!!!

IF I SAY HALF VOTE, I GET HALF VOTE!

j/k rome's fine

btw Amirsan, I like your intrests.:D Mine would be very similar but I'm too lazy to change something noone would ever read.

@bacon king. Please do not consider my comments as harsh or otherwise intended to inject my ideas onto the game play. I do not wish to enter this potentialy beyond diety game in any other maner than cooperative. If my banter offended anyone, I apologize. To win we need to be effective as a team. If any anomosity exists between players, that effectivness is diminished.

I'd accyually prefer if we didn't alter the map, so we'd have the challenge of building and protecting colonies to get recources we dont have in city radius.

but thats just me, we might have enough added challenges as it is.

@CoffeeCup- no offence taken ;)
