I am planning on creating a scenario, that along with my Expanded Earth 1000AD and Earth 2012AD scenarios will make up a large mod. It will take place starting in 1475 AD and continue up to the present. Version alpha 3.0.0 is out for BtS 3.19! I will get version beta 1.0 out once I finish the map and civs and such. I mostly know how to do the first parts, but suggestions and history lessons are helpful.

Civs included:
England
France
Netherlands
Spain
Portugal
Germany
Viking
Aztec
Inca
Maya
Native America

Map size: Huge
Game speed: Marathon

Its a good idea and period, but why dont you make this scenario with any of the good mods that have plenty of units buildings and leaders of the period? C2C, History rewritten, Realism Invictus...

That would be a great enhancment.

Not everyone want to download a mod to play a nice scenario, and I for one don't.

This seems like a great idea. I will be watching this closely. :scan:

I will consider it, but I need to finish the map first.

Looks good (besides Scotland, which seems to be a bit distorted).
:)

It does look very good, but Scotland needs to be reformed me thinks. There shouldn't be a landbridge to Ireland. :mischief:

I feel like I just bindly placed most resources, do you have any idea where they should actually go?

Screenshots?

I can tell you what countries should have what nearby, but without seeing where you put things I can't give much advice.
France needs horses, iron, and wheat.
Spain needs horses, silver, and sheep.
Germany needs coal, aluminum, and copper.
etc. etc.

And these are just my opinions...

But I can't do much without screenshots :dunno:

why not check out resouce allocation from another map as a starting point? RFC map or something.

(edit) from an aesthetic point of view, perhaps your rivers need a bit of work? i always thought that the (forgive me as i get technical here :)) lake-like, blue blob on the end of a river symbolized the river's mouth/point of entry to sea?
