Who is the United States' greatest ally in the world? I personally am feeling the UK.

Right now? Great Britain.

Israel is also up there, though. Poland is slowly working its way up.

According to Bush...most likely GOD, but according to me...the U.K.

10,000 nuclear bombs and a strong economy

Israel and the Virgin Islands

technically some of the virgin islands are US property.

Reckon israel are more of a liability than an ally. UK, definitely. maybe i can say the british commonwealth so that australia gets in too :D.

Australia.

I mean, 7 700 000 km², man, if that isn't the greatest ally, who else ?

Australia, Australia... Don't they feed their own children to crocodiles?

Not sure we could be allies if they keep on doing that.

No that's AUSTRIA.
you were getting confused...

The Uk, I would say Canada, but there poor track record when it comes to doing what allies mainly do (support eatch other during warfare)

UK, we're the one you drag along into your wars so you have an idea where the hell the country is :D

(Of course our maps tend to date from when we owned the place, so tend to have "here be dragons" but with dragons replaced with "Weapons of Mass Destruction")

Somewhat bizarrely over the last 15 years or so I would say Saudi Arabia has been the United States greatest and definitely most valuable ally. I appreciate that this may seem a pretty odd conclusion given some Saudi citizens flew jets into the WTC but what the hey its a strange world.

@CenturionV - Canada sent some troops to Afghanistan. That's an example of an allied support.
Yeah I know, the guy next door is there right now (while a arabic looking man watches over his house, go figure) I ment in iraq, not that we even had to send a single troop (our army is small enough we can get off on the old "all our troops are being used already") But at least give some support to the US coalition, even if only verbally.
