An oddity with the Guardian?

Well, I just started a Doviello game(One of the five civilizations I have not tried yet). I started right next to the dreaded Guardian of Pristin Pass... but nothing happened. No gargoyles. I parked my beastmaster ontop of it just to be safe(I know they usually spawn ontop of it, so I hoped it was like a lair/barrow and couldn't spawn if there was something there). Any ideas why it didn't spawn?

If you start off near Pristine Pass, close enough to activate it, it spawns Gargoyles but then throws a Python exception. The next turn it spawns them again correctly. The error is in the function atRangeGuardian.
Patch 0.41e (will break save games)
<snip>
17. Fixed an error that occured if you started the game next to the Guardian of Pristin Pass.
In theory the Gargoyles should spawn on the next turn, if the Guardian's tile is unoccupied. They shouldn't spawn if a player unit is in the tile, because that could cause problems. If you reload and don't move into the Guardian's tile, do the Gargoyles spawn on the next turn?

Well, they spawned on turn 128. after Orthus came and killed the beastman I had defending that hill. Fortunately, I killed Orthus first and took his axe, so the Gargoyles actually fell rather easily.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but this is somewhat related. I've noticed no matter what I do, Tower of Eyes will not give me mind mana, and the broken sepulchre will not give me death mana....no matter where I am in the tech tree, if it's connected by a road....nothing works. Does anyone know if this has been reported or fixed for patch e? All of the other unique improvements give the mana as they should. Well, I've connected Letum Frigus, Pyre of the Seraphic, Standing Stones, Mount Kalshekk, and Bradelines Well anyways, and they've all given me there respective mana types.

Any thoughts?

like I said....no matter where in the tech tree I was, I didn't recieve the mana, although my memory of the Sepulchre is less clear, I might have not had necromancy (although it seems unlikely as it's usually the first of the magic school techs that I research).

Now that I think of it, I might have not had divination or alteration (whatever school mind belongs to) when I had the tower of eyes....but I do seem to remember not receiving the mind mana even when I was researching future tech.

An easier question might be to ask if anyone else has run into anything like this....

I'm guessing you're laying FF or something, because I'm unaware of a Mount Kalshekk in FFH2, and as far as I knoew the Tower of Eyes is a wonder that gives a free dungeon, not free mana. However, I believe the Broken Sepulcher does not give access to it's mana, but rather you must explore the Sepulcher then build a mana node ontop of it.

In FfH2 the Broken Sepulcher gives access to death mana without needing to explore it. I believe you need to have Knowledge of the Ether, and of course is must be linked to your trade network.
