It would just take some green/eco-anarchy people to start convincing people and begin the movement. It could even start with a Green Party government or something. I am willing to compromise. Ecovillages would be a great accomplishment, even if we didn't get to anarchy.

Except anyone who happens to be human. Look at the Soviet Union, then compare to the United States. One (authoritarian) failed, and killed about 100 million people over its existence, while the other (free) remains, with the highest standard of living of any major country and more productivity than any other.

Again, they would move out once population gets to high. You would have people from all sorts of ecovillages founding other ecovillages. Problem solved, and no calculator needed.

Population unsustainable? Sorry, are you referring to when an ecovillage become over-populated, or when the world does?
