Ancient East Asian Swordsman Request

well he made this. A swordsman man with a long katana worn blade up. which isnt something you would see until the 1500s. and just a few other things. Its a great unit, but to me it doesnt really look like an otomo swordsman. and it couldnt pass for a chinese or korean one either

That unit works as some sort of low-ranking Samurai, but as Shiro said its too advanced to be a true Otomo-era Swordsmen.

I could use that one as a substitute for the Ming-era Zhanmadao Swordsman since the Zhanmadao looks very close to a No-dachi. Only problem is that the armor doesn't look Ming...

Well I wouldn't particularly mind that one either, though it'd be better if he wore armor. I like the armor the crossbowman is wearing in the picture shiro posted; its chinese origin, which spread to most of asia.
Anyway, we all have the same era and region in mind, which is good. The details are trivial.
