Ancient sprawl graphic set

Have you got those obleisks on more than one tile? I think perhaps that it would look a little better w/ not quite so many. Otherwise good work. :)

It`s not my work. It`s taken from some games (I don`t know their names). Thay are not ready made and can be used only as a basic buildings in order to construct a city.

crosspost, Virote's right. ;)

@Keroro, great work! :goodjob:

Also at present for my taste there are too much obelisks in it, especially if these obelisks are standing in a row. On the other side on the "very-crowded"-tiles there could also stand amphi-theaters, colloseums, Roman insulas and such stuff.

@ Sandris,

this is nice additional stuff you posted here. Nothing to forgive, but a lot to say once more thank you to you. :)

A newer screenie. I'm away for a couple of days on work now, but any feedback for when I get back would be grand.

I've cut out a lot of the Egyptian looking stuff, though I've left a bit in. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to post and let me know what direction this should go in. :)

Sandris - thanks for the files, there's some useful stuff in there. I've not used any yet, but I think that I will soon.

It looks very good. The only critique I can think of is that in some places the buildings look a little too evenly spaced to me.
That might be something I can work on for the next preview. I'll see what I can do. :)

All I can really think of is more even larger buildings in the more crowded files wouldn't go amiss. :)
Again, I'll see what I can do. I'm trying not to have too many massive buildings so that the sprawl won't look more built up than the cities themselves, but a few here and there might be possible.

It looks great. :D

The light green irrigation is a bit too light IMHO, but only a bit. :)
I know what you mean. :D I actually thought I had a different irrigation file in that terrain set, but must have been mistaken. It's one of Pounder's irrigations by the way, not something I did myself.

Thanks again for the feedback guys, I think the next set I might be able to release. Then after that - Alexander! This sprawl graphic actually looks pretty good on the map I'm using for Alexander, and I've reduced my city graphic sizes by a third making it all look a little more epic and less cartoony. The terrain from Ares and the new units from Sandris help too of course. ;)

Keroro, was this ever finished yet? If yes, can you please give me a link. If not, can you please post what you have now.

Thank you very much.

When can work ever be finished?

I've got a version that I'm using at the moment, and it doesn't look bad. I'll post it and provide a link. :)

EDIT - here.

Please post any further feedback (which is still welcome!) in the new thread.

Keroro, thank you very much for the link and of course for doing that file. :thanx:

It´s now wonder, I couldn´t find it, as I always searched for "Ancient Sprawl". :)
