ANES01 Preliminary Rules Work

Well.. to be blunt, the map hurts my eyes. Perhaps the colors are a bit too contrasting?

I kinda like Pei as a place to start with.

Its weird, certainly, but I kind of like the change of pace. Looks, as you intended it to be, more like a strategic map than a political one. Two secs and I'll express interest in a nation.

EDIT: Anzo, I suppose, though I'm flexible, doesn't really matter.

Yes, i realise it's the prototype. I'm asking about what the real thing will be like.

Having a bit of trouble editing because it won't load. Adding a bit more to my message anyway.

Although i don't want to commit yet and really don't mind, my first choice is Atinrev followed by Iver.

EDIT: Managed to get the edit to work. In case the sentence above was confusing, i meant that those are my choices based on what i know right now- i want to know more before i make a firm descision.

I'm surprised there are no gasps of horror at my discarding of most all mapping conventions.

You had already discarded them in that map thread, ruining the surprise effect. ;)

Not sure, I might or might not join. However, the map just doesn't look Napoleonic, its way too modernish.

Hmmmmmm..... uh can I get dibs now or do I have to wait for everyone else? I'd like Kiddo if at all possible...

Commiting on Iver- in retrospect, Anzo was probably the best option.

I'm having a hard time thinking of a historical setting that closely mirrors what you have described...is it a loose comparison? Or a reference to an NES scenario? Or am I just missing the obvious?

I don't think anybody on the forums is going to have a chance unless you call in the best history experts on the forums. So maybye you could just tell us- I know i don't stand a chance.

There was a battle of Green Spring in the American Revolutionary War.

The complementary color of Spring green is Rose, perhaps alluding to the War of the Roses.

Atinrev's description to me most sounds like the USA just before the War of 1812. There are a few other similarities to Napoleonic Europe, but to me they don't seem too strong.

Overall, however, the strongest connection seems to be to Warring States/ pre-Qin unification China, in terms of "atmosphere".
