Anglo-Saxon set

This is the altered set, with the first texture. I made a quasi-elaborate, Anglo-Saxon gate for the third special building and now it looks a bit more in tune with the rest i think:

This is how they look in the game:

Btw Plotinus, would you want a pink texture like the one in the ancient granaries? Or was that before the Anglo-Saxon times and therefore wouldn't do?

Would the pink be from bulls blood added to the mud/straw mix? Also a thought: White might be a distinctive Anglo Saxon colour - the white being made from Lime. Be interested to hear what Plot has to say.

What a shame you've taken down the set...I thought it was rather nice! I'd actually put it in as the final era for the Celts/Brits/Euro group in ADII - but I guess you'd rather that not be in there now?

I've attached a screen print of them in ADII, just in case you wanted to see what they looked like in-game ;).

I don't think the colour matters enormously. I should think there were lots of variations, so I'd say, just use whatever looks good!

It's interesting that you showed the picture of the round houses. You're right that these would not be right for Anglo-Saxons; they are more Romano-British or even pre-Roman. However, if you were interested in making a city set using these houses as well, I could definitely use those too (for the Romano-British).

Actually those look like your spirit house, Plot.

These are just being made for Plotinus, and they are generally finished. They won't be uploaded by me, but they can be found in his The Rood and the Dragon mod. Since Plotinus seems to like them, my work in regards to this set is finished ;)

That's OK. There's always the more advanced looking one you posted (briefly) in the other thread if I need it to make up three.

If you want to have a go at a Celtic one with round houses, that would be an extremely nice bonus - only if you feel like it though!
