Anno Domini Rise of Cities edition

Anno Domini: Rise of Cities edition (latest version dated November 9th 2016) 27

Balance suggestion:

I'm currently playing mid to late Anno Obscurii. My impression is that limestone and mudbricks are becoming quite rare and if you aren't very lucky with resources, you can't build many of those fancy new buildings. I guess you could tear down old ones, but I don't know who'd enjoy playing like that (and also it would make for very diminishing returns). Maybe you want to reconsider needing limestone/mudbricks for everything or add additional sources that become available with later ages.

Display issue:

The resource display in the top bar becomes very convoluted as the number of "strategic" resources increases. The far right ones aren't properly visible, nor do you see all of them when you mouse over. Maybe change the display in the Economics submenu, so it doesn't just display the total resource number but also the still available (like the topbar does). With so many resources it's vital to always be aware of their available numbers.

Thanks for the help everyone with the missing features; in the end I uninstalled Civ V and Steam and started again. Now it seems to be OK.

I am getting Social Policies very quickly... Is this normal? For example, by turn 30, I have adopted Ceremony, Health and Warfare and within those 3 actual social policies.. seems fast. I am on Standard map with Standard speed. Just asking.

Hi, I'm watching a Marbozir serie with this mod. Now I know about it. And I want to try it. But the download file is not more aveilabe. Is that true?
Is an impressive mod, by the way. Congrats.

Hi phita, the torrent is still running: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dgaco4r6x70hz5o/Anno Domini v26.rar.torrent?dl=0

@Rob: Seeing how you removed the download for the mod (at least it 404s for me on the mod site), it would be great if you linked to the torrent or something.

I was thinking the same myself and have done that.

How do you win? The tradition methods are all there. Empire points = tourism and the victory works the same; the science method is getting the Merchant's Guild and then the different caravans (e.g. Olive Oil caravan) instead of spaceship points. The other methods, such as conquest, works exactly the same as in the "epic" game.

I just found this and was going to download to check it out. Both links to the download are returning the 404 error (file not found).

I am going to check it out again in the future. It looks good from what I have seen on the website.

I sent you a link for an alternate download. Just unpack it with 7zip or the like and follow the directions on the OP.

DL torrent, trying to unzip using 7-zip, get error saying "can not open file as archive" when I try to extract. I don't get any files or other info when doing so.

Any help?

Hi everyone, im actually playing an hotseat game with anno domini mod. Everything was ok until turn 214-215, when a crash happens everytime. I started the game also with ingame editor mod and custom advanced setup screen mod (it allows hotseat games with mods). Any idea about what can i do to solve this? Thanks

Playing a regular single player anno domini game. fresh steam download of Civ 5 and the torrent download of the anno domini v26 mod. Got to turn 222 when it crashes every time on next turn. playing with Ancient Greeks, Ancient Greeks II, and Ancient Meditarranean loaded. no other mods. if there is any guidance on debugging crashes, happy to take a peak.

All I get from the torrent is a 15kb rar file, which when unpacked gives a 15tb folder. Doesnt look at all like a typical civ mod file that I need to transfer. No art files, civs nothing but a 15tb file.

I can't load this mod. Each time I try I get black screen. Is there an older version I can try? I haven't been able to find anything other then v26. Please help I really want to play this mod!

I was trying to figure out how to do the events and descriptions and looked a the website for events and decisions

http://www.annodomini.org.uk/anno-domini/events-and-decisions/

It turns out my UI doesn't have the script icon for the drop down menu, not does it have the culture icon nor the great works icon and the diplomacy icon doesn't work. Tried running the client fully vanilla with only the anno domini, the artwork and one civ group (the one with the romans) and those UI elements never appeared.

Any suggestions?

It's been a regular query that one. In a nutshell, you have EUI installed. Whether you have it active or not, it is still running in the background as acts like DLC. You need to delete that if you wish to play Anno Domini; the two are incompatible.

Will do that right away, perhaps a FAQ might be a good place for regular queries like this one?

Edit: Deleting the UI_bc (or something very similarly named) folder in the DLC folder in the Civ V steam apps folder resolved the problem perfectly.

Playing a game as Caledonii, Huge map, Standard Speed but when settlers become colonists i have no colonist choice - shame

I have issues upgrading units. Sometimes the upgrade icon is greyed out and the tooltip when I mouse over it declares it as being for some other action (e.g. alert). This happens for the second unit I try to upgrade. So if I try to upgrade two slingers to heavy slingers I can only upgrade the first one. I don' thave this problem with upgrading to city guards from basic warriors.

I have a bug report. My unit display shows Combat Strength, Ranged Combat Strength, and Distance values of "000" for every unit, and also Movement 000. Also, when selecting a Pathfinder, this display has overlapping text of something else, and then does the same thing to all units. There are also graphical artifacts (blinking strips) which, in extreme cases, crash my computer to a red square.

I definitely don't have old versions creeping around, and I removed eui's folder and the additional file from Text folder. Attached is mod list. I'm running W10 with anniversary update, AMD Radeon 7800 graphics card.

I'm really sorry guys, I'm not sure at the moment how to fix the issues raised since I last posted. Hopefully someone will be able to help. Sorry again that I've not been around so much, it's just RL issues.
