Anno Domini

@R8XFT i noticed that woodworking says: workers can now clear forests. my workers can clear forests before ever researching woodworking. is the tech tree info wrong, or should workers be restricted until then. i can just pretend they can't if this is your intention until it is fixed. seems logical if they can't. otherwise i like it so far. still earlier on a huge map; eagerly anticipating the later ages.

The amount of work put into this is incredible. I love the new music! I've found a couple civilopedia bugs, but nothing that really impacts the game much. The only thing I think I'll change is the terrain, it's too dark for me.

Great job!

Edit: After experimenting, the resources seem to look best on Warpstorm's watercolor terrain, imo. Woah, this random map in the editor gave one location eight gems . I'm gonna have to try this out.

My preferences are ok but what is screwed up is right clicking an existing city improvement. Just garbage comes up. So much for selling improvements until this is fixed.

had the same problem. I just tried to go without selling them.

So far I´m not seen any problems on Anno Domini, and is a impresive mod.
R8XFT, amazing job and I value yor courage to finish it despite the realise of Civ4.
I will be working in a map for Anno Domini. It could be a real european-mid east-africa map or something similar, with correct resource position or just ramdomly.

So far it looks great. I'm wondering though - I just learned weaving and have almost all of the world mapped, but I'm not seeing any flax anywhere. There is no terrain type listed as possibly containing flax in the Civilopedia entry. I'm not 100% sure it isn't on the map somewhere, but I'm wondering if this is something that needs correcting.

Though I'm not sure I installed the patch correctly - that may have something to do with it.

Seems to have problems with scarcity of resources.
Played 5 games, copper did not come up twice and timber twice. Also having trouble upgrading units.
That has been mentioned in playtesting, yet I've set the resources just like the epic game. Perhaps this needs tweaking; anyone any ideas?
Trouble upgrading units....due to scarcity of resources? Don't forget that units can only be upgraded in cities with barracks.

@mike p : forests and jungles contain flax. Maybe you're having the same issues as kevin2350.

Resources are tricky. I've suffered thru an absence of iron several times in the playtesting stage and lost because of it, and then another time will have a smaller land area than previously yet have 3 iron within my borders. I think all these resource problems do is argue for preset maps tailored to this mod. I am working on one myself. Preset maps will also eliminate those pesky small island starting locations. Too much of the mod goes by before you can get off a small island to settle other locations, so this is particularly critical!

By the way, Rob, great to see the mod out and so well received. You've done a truly amazing job!:goodjob:

Brilliant mod!:goodjob:
Great leaderheads, well thought out tech tree and ressource system, fine units. IMHO, one of the absolutely best mods available.
A couple of problems I have encountered so far:
- Selling improvements crashes the game.
- I can't build Gold Merchant despite having gold and having discovered mining.

Started playing this mod as the Romans, on a huge 60% sea archipelago map, on monarch level. I like the way the game flows and I like the tech tree. I'm about 1/3 into the first age and am settling like crazy. I like how every resource gives you something unique in a given city.

One thing I don't understand is the setting for the game. Is it supposed to be the ancient Mediterranean, or what?

still wondering about workers? woodworking says "workers can now clear forests", yet my workers can do this immediately without knowing woodworking. how is this supposed to work?

Rustwork, workers were originally given the "clear forests" ability after woodworking. Then I decided to make it available from the start, but forgot to amend the civilopedia. It's as simple as that ;) .
