I tried to get thru the 2nd book of his but just couldn't do it.

His message is basically "No one needs to do any real work anymore (no one who's smart anyway, plenty of people are needed for cheap, mindless work but no one who's reading his book) and everyone's real job is to be special & unique & make everyone else feel special & unique & thats why everyone buys stuff nowadays (everyone who matters, i.e. : rich people with their basic needs met)".

His writing is horrible & while I agree with him on many points, for instance that the school-system stamps out creativity to a large degree, his vision is both unrealistic & undesirable & his personality, catering to people who want to feel like unique snowflakes & rah-rahing them is really irritating.

I also find him really annoying looking (doesn't effect reading his books but watching his videos it does) which is my own problem & not a legitimate criticism at all.

I rarely write book reviews (I probably should, my mom gets all sorts of free stuff because she writes a lot of reviews) but I just felt compelled by the last book I got (from the library of course).

I make it a point to forget the names of annoying people, so I am unable to answer.

I like that Trader Joe's encourages its cashiers to interact at an emotional level.

I don't think you get the idea behind him calling for artistry. One should be able to find aesthetic satisfaction and emotional connection in any job not just ones that are traditionally labeled artistic.
