Anyone Else think the narrator sounds like a drunk buffoon?

"Drunk buffoon" seems, er, rather harsh :) I think some of the quotes are a little over-egged - he starts to sound smug or patronising sometimes, or as if he's finding something quietly amusing. I preferred Leonard Nimoy - I liked his understated delivery. And that was before I knew who it was - for years I thought it was just some random guy so I can't be accused of nerdy fanboyism :)

I want Sid himself for Civ 6! And at the end of eeach quote he'll say "Also, I'm sorry". Yeah, that'll do.

David Sedaris! Though Palin will probably need the work by the time Civ 6 comes out; she's on her 14th minute of fame.

But failing that...Shatner.

I agree, the new narrator is perfectly acceptable. I find if anything the only bad part about him is the cinema at the beginning of the game that we endure on every start up.

I'm quite annoyed with the narrator, he seems always out of breath, it's distressing. It makes me want to call 911 and report an old guy suffocating.

That's what editing the game files (whichever one it is, I forget) is for, although there really should be a regular option for it since there's plenty of people who don't know about it I bet.

The current guy sort of sounds like Foster Brooks.

He's not horrible, but he ain't Spock either. Other good ones would be Shatner (The wheel...has been...DISCOVERED!), James Earl Jones (I find your lack of Bronze Working disturbing), Richard Attenborough, etc.

I ended up turning the voices down because, frankly, they bug the snot out of me. Most of the leaders sound like retards, and I keep waiting for the announcer to slur his words and go *hic*.
