Accelerated production is not turned on in this game, since it is not one of the default rules. What is does is doubles all shields, food, and commerce, essentially making the game go twice as fast. This wrecks a lot of the game's balance though, so I have no idea why the Firaxians bothered adding it. It's not on in this game.

I'd still advise a third team, sure, though it doesn't look like you have one. I'd constantly be fighting against myself not to micromanage, though 
(I'm sure you've seen how much of that I do in all my other SGs

I wouldn't be averse to a third team either, but after getting 10 signups in the first 36 hours, no one has asked to join the game since Friday morning. I'm reluctant to delay the opening too much longer because people will start to lose interest in the idea; that and there's no sense in punishing those people who have already signed up and are anxious to start. The signups were open for 4 full days, more than enough time for any semi-regular visitor of this forum to see the thread and express interest. As it is, we have 2 teams each with 5 people which I think will work well. But hey, if you really want to have a team T-Hawk we can shuffle things around to have teams of 4-3-3 and then potentially add an extra player to each team of 3 to handle latecomers. I wouldn't be averse to that either. So let me know if that's what you want to run, because it won't bother me and I don't think our players would mind either.

Sulla, personally I like the idea of having 5 on a team. With 3 you would barely finish your write up and turn before it was time to do it again.

Sorry T-Hawk, but we simply did not get the participation to run a third team. Perhaps though an Emperor-level game of competing succession game teams might be in the works soon; that might be a good idea to run when the current crop of succession games dies down around Halloween. I'll keep it in the back of my mind even if you don't want to.

SUL5 works great. You're right, I don't have any "named" games here.
All players: note the "honorable" rules. As I think I mentioned earlier (I think it was this thread, anyway) a lot of the best SG players don't like to take advantage of "exploits", or even backstabbing the AI just because you can. It's actually more fun to "play by the rules" and still manage to win.
Too bad we couldn't get a third team. Still, two teams of five should be a lot of fun.
VinCaiden said he was out till Monday. If BoB wants to take it Sunday, then let us know (in the "B" thread) and I'll tweak the lineup. Or we wait for Vin to get back Monday.

At the moment, it looks like you have the more "active" team, at least. Twice as many posts as Team B. 
I remember the "postcount wars" of RBD23, with one team getting way ahead in posts and the others wondering what they were doing so quickly.

If you look at the SG Forum page, the next to the last column on the right is the number of times people have "viewed" the thread.
As of the time of this post SUL5a has 431 views, while SUL5b has 277.

Until then, "A" players are free to read the "B" thread, but NO posting in it. On a more general note, no spoilers whatsoever for those who have completed the game! Best of luck to those on the "B" team in the hope that they can achieve a speedy finish and open up the floor for discussion between the games.
