Anyone use Dvorak or any other keyboard setup than QWERTY?

The QWERTY keybaord was designed to be rubbish in order to slow typists and stop the machines jamming.. does anyone use the Dvorak layout seen as its better?

I use it. I was originally inspired to switch by Cornmaster on this site. I didn't bother rearanging the keys on my keyboard though, so nobody else can use my computer very well.

I got a friend who swears by Dvorak. All I did was change my keyboard layout to be ABCDE, while still working as QWERTY, just to confuse people who would want to use it

Not simpler, but more efficient once you learn to use it, which means your maximum typing speed is faster.

I'm too lazy to learn it/don't type fast enough anyway, so I still use QWERTY.

Neat. I like how the letters are grouped together they look more intuitive (sp?). I may just give it a try.

From typing too fast? I doubt it, try typing randomly as fast as you can, see if you can get your computer to freeze (I don't think you will).

I already know QWERTY to well to want to try to learn something new that isn't popular. Wouldn't be allowed to load it at work, so I wouldn't want to have to switch between home and work.

I'm already used to QWERTY too much, and I love my keyboard so unless they make some nice deluxe models I'm not switching.

I thought this was about the composer. The New World Symphony is amazing. Anway, i use qwertz. If i were to change, i'd change to the American layout as some applications asume you use it. It gets a little irritating to get a "y" every time you type a "z".

It matters little to me since I henpeck faster than proper typing.
