Are civIII forums dying?

Is it me or are the two civIII forums dying away, they seem to just get 4 or 5 posts a day on all threads. While I love posting insane rubbish in OT as much as the next man, the reason I came to this site in the first place was the excitement of the impending civIII. With civIII now so closely upon us I would have expected feverish activity around these parts. Surely there must be stuff to talk about round here.

So if anybody in this ghost town can hear me, speak up.

I agree. When I first arrived, I only published in civ 3 suggestions and ideas. but now that I think we've exhausted all the ideas we can come up with, I don't really post stuff there anymore since its mostly things which have already been said, or things that I don't care to read. I post mostly in civ 2 and off topic now.

I think people don't say much because CIVIII
is almost done, I Guess they think that It wouldn't mater if we post new idea's on the forums

but when the game is released the forum will explode! believe me! it will explode!

I think the Ideas topic may continue to wither, but as reviews, leaks and preview information continues to come out interest in this forum should rebound somewhat.

Much has been said about what should change, what could be improved, etc. and there's not a lot left to consider. Now we need to see what we're really going to get before we can form strong opinions.

....and hopefully it will stay that way.
The CtP2 forums at Apolyton had such an 'explosion' when the game was released, but promptly died not long after as people started complaining about the game.

But I think we're confident that Firaxis won't let things turn out that way

The pace has started to pick up a little, I think. What is it going to be like when civIII comes out though. I hope we don't become faces lost in the crowd when the explosion happens.

P.S. TF will you be closing down the suggestions and ideas forum at any point?

I think they'll survive... diminish perhaps, but they'll be around. That's my two cents anyho', not that I'm a long-time member in any way...

Civ3 is still quite a distance from release and I am sure there is still a little "tweaking" to be done with the game and therefore a lot of ideas can still come from us Civfanatics.

Seriously, this forum seems to be doing fine to me, which is more than I can say for the civgaming forum, but I guess it is good for us to unite on this one forum instead of spreading ourselves sparsly over several different forums. I am glad to have found these forums. I just wonder what took me so long!
