Are European Media Outlets Given An Unfair Fress Pass When It Comes To Bias?

Are British Media Sources as whole either biased/and or unreliable?

Disregarding tabloids, then no, no they are not paticularly biased or unreliable.

No media source is unbiased. None. The entire purpose of the media is to put forward points of view mixed subtly with facts.

Which is why it's important to maintain a free press. That way there's no dominant point of view, no media source have too much influence. When it comes to the variety of media sources and point of view, I think Europe is freer than America.

I votes "yes" but I think you are wrong about how the bias flows. With the exception of the Mirror pretty much all mainstreame British papers are pro-Bush, and pro-war.

The mainstreame British media is an absolute disgrace at times in it's bias, mainly because Rupert Murdoch pretty much controles it all.

I've noticed a lot of people often knock various US newspapers and news channels for having bias.

However, British newspapers often openly declare their bias, and knock and personally insult Bush on the front page. I.e. their headline "PS WE ARE HERE" with a map.

I think across the board, the European media does have an agenda, and unlike the US media, they don't even bother trying to hide it. While their are some exceptions, they are mostly pretty biased and unreliable.

You made a flaw. Biased does not equal unreliable. It's possible to be openly biased and still truthful.

I voted "yes" in your poll only because you wrote "and/or", meaning I choose the "or".
