The problem is that God is given the characteristic of being all powerful.
Why it should be a problem? I see it rather as solution.
Everything even the worst possible evil or pain becomes just mere play of waves on the surface of Ocean/God and it ultimately turns into its true reality- Bliss.

Except for, you know, the 90%+ of humanity that most religionists place in hell. Other than that tiny detail you're correct.

Have you got any proof to back that assertion?

Hell is only an experience and obviously you dont need to wait to die to experience it...
The hell for eternity is sheer nonsense and height of stupidity.

The reason all we have left are undefined Deities is that all the defined deities have been measured and found wanting. Which I feel is a shame. Lots of the really interesting Gods had human characteristics, were screwing each other over every opportunity they got, and were just as real as He Who Must Not Be Defined.

I have just red commentary to some ancient Indian scriptures where it was stated that from Non-being Being (God) came into existence. But the commentary said Non-being didnt represent nothing but something totaly undefinable. I thing anytime we play this game with words we have to really consider how much is really behind it or can be measurable.

Greek pantheon :goodjob:

At least these goods were honest about their dickishness.

Imagine how much more fun church would be! :)

Why not start one? I have came across some book with yogi answering question about Greek gods where he says that these being do exist. It would seem that there are countless different beings of that sort on what is called vital and even mental plains some of them are more or less divine (devas) and some hostile(asuras). When the hostiles get strong enough influence over the Earth (can use some people as instruments) they are very difficult to counter as it happened with Hitler. Another example would be comrade Stalin who has done what no other real human being could possibly do.

Because not even Ken Ham could believe that Zeus was literally on top of mount Olympus.

As was stated earlier, we chased our gods off the earth, and even out of space and time. Now they sit quietly in the corner shuffling atoms around and possibly setting universal constants. Also, saving children from airplane crashes ( did they cause the crash? ,) winning football games, rigging music awards, and endorsing politicians, apparently.

Well. To start one I'd have to believe in them. And however colourful they are, I don't ;)
Look at the ancient Greeks and their achievements. It obviously was good for them (and the rest of Europe) to have such faith and aspiration...

Its in the subtle world, kind of parallel to material one but much vaster...

Its not like that. Everybody and everything has its own pride. If you do not feel the need for them they want play any role in your life or very limited one and not on conscious plane. If what you focus on is the material and unconscious this is what you get.

As the Greeks entered the Hellenistic age, the gods of Olympos became less and less prominent in worship across the oikoumene. By the time of the advent of Rome, the popular religions had shifted considerably. Sometimes, the focus of worship was a new, non-Olympian spin on an old deity, like the cult of Dionysos or the Orphic mysteries. Other times, new syncretic deities like Artemis-Anahita (Baktria) or Sarapis (Egypt) were created. Mystery religions gained a foothold among the propertied classes and in the militaries of the various Greek powers. We are thus left with the uncomfortable truth that when the Greek world was at the apex of its economic, cultural, territorial, and military power, the Olympian gods were not prominently involved in that success.

Of course, it's not clear that aspiration and faith in the Olympian gods in any sense, especially a modern, Christian, one, contributed to the balance of Greek civilization in any meaningful way even before the Hellenistic period.

It's a problem because 1. it's mainly used as a cop-out answer to problems 2. it creates even more problems than it solves.
