ask for new MOD

Time after time I conquer the world by producing and sending axemen and swordmen troughout the world in a marathon & emperor game. I choose marathon game, just because a 75 years march is more realistic than a 200 one. This is the mode for we warlords. But it gets boring now. :( There should be some counterbalances.
An amry needs provisions continuously, but the farther from homeland the harder soldiers get them. So there should be a time limit for the units outside the border. When time is out, these units lose strength every turn until they go back to homeland. In fact, numerous wars in history end by lack of provision, rather than lack of power.
With this limit, empire will expand more slowly, but more realistic. No more global march in ancient world again.
That's my idea. I wish some MOD experts would agree with me. :scan:
 
yea i do agree only how many turns would it take also just a suggestion increase the difficulty
 
Yeah def. wrong forum... however good idea, and i would love to write/see a mod that takes population into account when producing X amount of units. Seems to me that population would be a large factor in how many units u can produce , and would possibly take away from population, AND have a limit on the number u can produce. For example China has a population to support a huge army, does denmark have the same amount of people that can fight in a war that china does? def. not why because china is just larger and has more men. Getting back to civ 4 though... at end game on huge maps , lag lag lag. why because so many units... maybe limiting units to pop ... would kill the lag
and create a whole new strategy to warmonging ...
