Nice story, Masada.

I repeat, I am not accepting PMed orders. If you want to simulate surprise, put around your orders, so that those to whom it matters can't use it against you. That's the best that can be done atm. I have decided that this policy will change at year 2000 BC.

In the olden days we used the honor system.

Also, don't sue for peace Sumer! Forge ahead!

The Battle

I, General Han Azulan, looked at the Gosejeron troops. How pathetic! They defeated his predecessor Han Zeh with ease. But this time, it would not be the case. He looked at his troops. Hardened elites mixed with new regulars, and then, the Imperial Cavalry; this time they would defeat the Gosejeron.

The fools back in Peking thought he was an idiot. They begged the emperor to sign a peace while they no longer had the surprise. But I held them back. “Pray to the great God Amon!” I said “He will guide us to a grand victory!” The nobles were skeptical, but the emperor agreed to my request; the war would continue.

We have allies. The Manchu warriors. They had great skill, and were blood thirsty. Yes, when I turn them loose, I would see results quickly.

Also, I can’t explain it, but… I feel there is a greater divine presence. The armies will not decide the fate of nations. No. The God Amon and his magical dice, they will change the course of the nation. I was nothing but a hapless pawn.

With this in mind, I put on my helmet and raised my spear. The symbol to attack. A frenzied battle cry rose up, as our two armies clashed. Yet through the noise, I alone noticed the thunder; the sound of the Mighty Amon rolling his dice to settle the battle here and now.

Siam

The reign of the Ballsknocker dynasty had long ended in 2583BC, when a civil war had erupted within Siam. The war lasted for 56 years, and seen new territories added to the country.

The land was divided into districts governed by governors under the emperor.

One of these lords was Alp Arslan, a Gojoseon in origin, from the lands beyond the Crappy'Latsu. Alp Arslan was a fabled horseman who came to power because of his skill in battle. He fought against bandits and barbarians alike.

At one time, the barbarians from Singapore had invaded, and the late Emperor Kick Ballsknocker summoned him to do battle against them, giving him an army. He led his men to the place where the barbarians were gathered, and the barbarian called him to duel. He rode forward and struk the man down in 1 blow. The horns were blewn, and his army attacked. The barbarians were forced to flea.

From then on he was given the southwestern section of Siam, to protect against barbarians. He ruled soundly.

Another of these governors were Root Caffe. This governor came to power through birth. He was surrounded by able men, but he himself lacked good judgement. At the time of Kick Ballsknocker's demise, he was in control of the central eastern section of the country.

There were 2 more governors in control at this time over regions. Link Saggot, and Bob Zekka. The former ruled over the northwest section, the latter over the northeast. These 2 men were former generals who led campaigns against the barbarians in the north.

The rest of the land was owned by the Emperor, with the capitol called "Balls" at the mouth of the Siam river.

When Kick Ballsknocker kicked the bucket, so to speak, he left his infant son by the name of Suck Ballsknocker on the throne. Long Dong, the prime minister, had taken the reigns of government over for himself. This was the year 2587 BC.

Long Dong quickly assumed that the power he had gained was to be used for his own gain. It wasn't long before he was strutting around the imperial court acting as the Emperor himself. This angered the lords to no end, and each prepaired to depose Long Dong.

They all gathered outside Balls, in the field of Sack to settle the battle. Long Dong's champion, Long Wang, called out to the enemy army. "Why come here to disturb the emperor's peace, Bandits? Go home, and Heaven will show you mercy!"

Alp Arslan rode forth, crying "You have served he who has stripped our emperor of his honor! You will be the first to die!" The two fought for some 10 bouts, and in the end Long Wang fell from his horse.

The combined force of the governors marched forward.

After an hour of battle, Long Dong's force threw back the attackers, and he himself still held the high ground. The governors had to become crafty. They gathered to council.

"Perhaps we must retire" said Bob Zekka. "We can then attack him as he persues."

This strategy was adopted, and the next day the combined army retreated. Long Dong did not persue, however. Long Dong was content to not risk anything, while he remained in control of the imperial district.

The governors conveined.

"This clearly was not the right strategy to persue!" exclaimed Link Saggot. Alp Arslan then crossed his arms and looked at the others with disgust. The council broke without a significant prospect of the plan forward.

Alp Arslan went to his own camp that night bitter with the other governors who were not as bold as he. His approach was direct. These 2 days were bad luck. nothing more. Tomarrow, if we could be persistant, he thought, our luck would change.

The next day the army of the governors re-emerged to face Long Dong. Root Caffe had tried to gather the council again, but Alp Arslan sounded the charge, and he himself blazed forth, charging into the enemy.

It took a half hour to route Long Dong, and Alp Arslan followed up his victory to persue the enemy. Long Dong himself was caught, and put to the sword by Alp Arslan personally.

Alp marched his army into Balls, to do homage to the Emperor only to find the Emperor had been slain some time before, and was only rumored to be holed up in his chambers. He mourned much over this.

It was not certain how the country should go forward at this point. Caffe was the most noble of birth of them all, so it may have been prudent for him to be appointed the new emperor. Alp Arslan, however, was certain that he would doom the Empire of Siam to darkness if he were Emperor.

Alp took command of the district himself.

The other lords did not consent, and in stead returned to their steads to prepair to dethrone him. Meanwhile, Alp gathered together many men of talent under his banner, and prepaired to subjugate the rest of Siam.

Bob couldn't help but campaign in the north that fall, and by the next year, he had a large territory, carved out from the barbarian lands. Link Saggot did the same thing, becoming envious of his neighbor.

Finally, Caffe went to war with Bob to make himself more powerful before he confronted Alp Arslan. Bob crushed Root Caffe, and took his lands. Alp moved quickly to settle this matter.

Alp Arslan then met Bob in a field south of the city of Ayik, where Alp routed Bob's forces. In the remaining months of the campaign season, as Alp was consolidating his gains, Link came to pay homage to Alp, and support him as new Emperor. Alp had him killed, and siezed his lands. He was now the Emperor.

Emperor Alp Arslan, of Siam. His reign ushered in an erra of unprecedented wealth, as he clearly only focussed on economic matters, neglecting his military, as he relied on his own bravery to settle matters of military dispute. Word came to him that a very powerful nation to the north, not mere barbarians, the Capi'Latsu, and he sent envoys for peace.

"How can we become prosperous if we spend our fruits on warfare?" he said. So the Arslan dynasty came into power, and the policies of Siam became increasingly mercantile.

Trained to be hidden among Han forces, these soldiers can quickly sneak up and kill their enemies. They are stealthy enough to sneak upon a galloping horseman, good enough with a bow to hit a man hundreds of yards away, and are powerful swordsmen. They are also great with spears. Their greatest specialty though is against horsemen, especially heavily armored ones.

Con von Head XV took a large bite out of his pork ribs. "Those Romans", pointing his rib bone at his prince, "they are some uncultured heathens. Its no wonder their people are flocking to our nation. Seriously, who would want to live in Rome of all places, no entertainment, no good food, no pretty women. Rome is the garbage dump of this world, nothing more than a bunch of barbaric people crammed together in a failed society." "But father", the prince said, "You really shouldn't be saying stuff like that about our neighbors, you had a little too much to drink tonight, you shouldn't be blurbing stuff out like that. It will harm our relations with them" "Son", Con von head exclaimed, "What am I afraid of, those Romans are inferior to us, their people yurn to be part of Germanica, does it look like I care? The Sumerians were still in shock over the Egyptian declaration.

"They took the Levant and Armenia. I can't believe it."

"And Crimea. We had a river defense, more experienced armies, but they still won."

"Execute their commander."

The returning Vultures then arrived in Ur. At this moment, the Emperor went crazy. No pleasantries were to be exchanged.

"Why the heck did you LOSE? The Russians were crossing the Dniester, you had superior technology, and your armies were better trained! I demand an explanation for this outrageous failure," bellowed the emperor to the commander.

"I-I-I don't know, sir. I just..."

"SHUT YOUR MOUTH, COMMANDER FAILURE!" The Emperor kicked the commander of the Vultures in the balls. "GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION!"

"The-the-the bronze!"

"This is the finest bronze we have. It works, especially against Stone." After this, the Emperor kicked Failure in his special place again.

"T-t-they had no room on the Dniester!"

"There was plenty of room on the Dniester. Just enough room for the dead bodies." With that, the Emperor delivered another kick to Commander Failure's gonads.

"Our armies! They weren't trained enough!"

"They're VULTURES, for An's sake! They undergo the most rigorous training!" With that, Failure's sack was hit with a foot.

"I don't know, then! Why did the Egyptians gain so much ground, yet the commander of that front doesn't get four kicks to the wang!" By this time, Commander Failure was sobbing with pain, looking for every little excuse to avoid another painful kick.

"Because THERE WERE NO ARMIES ON THE GODDAMN EGYPTIAN FROMT TO BEGIN WITH!!!" With that, the King put a bronze boot on and kicked Failure one final time in the wang. After that, parts of Failure's chest had protruded, his voice got higher, and stopped sobbing. Commander Failure had now become a woman!

"What happened to Failure?"

"Sir, you made your worst commander a woman. You, sir, are badass."

"Women and children are as clothes. When they are torn you can sew to mend them, or get new clothes... But your brother is like a limb. You cannot replace this, if it is lost."-The Great God Amon

According to legend, Amonism is even older than our Empire. In the very beginning, there was nothing. Then, by a whim, Amon created all. New empires similar to our own sprung up all throughout the world Amon created. However, our people, the Han, we would be special.

Before we became an Empire, the Han were just scattered tribes, each led by a powerful sage of paganism. One day, though, a Peking tribe commoner named Gilgamesh challenged the ruling sage and killed him. He was driven away by the people in anger to an isolated mountain top. There is where he learned the truth.

An Angel named Shiraha came to him and said "Gilgamesh, you are a greater man then all. For you are the son of the great god Amon."

The Angel proceeded to tell Gilgamesh of his nature and the mission that Amon had designed for his great son. Finally, before Gilgamesh was to leave, Shiraha gave him a strange stick that when Gilgamesh touched it, his hand bleed. Shihara said "When you get back to your village, proclaim your right to rule. A shaman will ask you by what right. Lunge this blade through his heathen body and proclaim your rule by the blade and by the commandments on the blade, given to humans by the god Amon. Events will play out how the god demands it.

Just as Shihara predicted, when Gilgamesh returned to the village, a shaman disputed his right to rule. And, just as Shihara said, the blade killed the shaman.

Within a week, Gilgamesh called the hundred sages of the Han to meet him in his capital. They came for what Gilgamesh called “a peace settlement”.

The second the last sage arrived, Gilgamesh revealed his blade and the commandments to the sages. In a thundering voice, he said

Because Amon created you, you owe him eternal servitude

Never dishonor your family

Never dishonor your word

Never dishonor the Han nation

You shall serve the Han Emperor with your body and mind

You shall spill the blood of the infidels as a soldier to the Han Emperor

You shall convert all to the one true faith by word or by blade

The sages went into an uproar. How dare this urupser proclaim a new religion over the gods of the sun, the moon, and the sea. Gilgamesh then knew what he had to do.

With his blade, he killed the non believers. Infidel after infidel fell to his blade, as each sage muttered a strange spell that could not touch the Son of Heaven. The God Amon was giving Gilgamesh power, and no one could stop him.

For some reason, after a while, Gilgamesh stopped slaughtering the sages due to a godly presence. Gilgamesh looked over, and saw that in his massacre, seven sages had helped him eliminate the others. They bowed to him, accepting the god Amon as the one and only god.

Gilgamesh said “Amon is the only god, and you are right to serve him. For your loyalty to him, you will be known as the Guardians, protecting our religion. And I. I will be your leader and Emperor.”

And that is how the Han knew their destiny. To conquer all so they may bring all the faith of Amonism.

Well, the thing about "Zues" is that he isn't real. Hate to break it to ya, but the truth is in The Faith. Zues is just made up, while The Faith worships a real force. So, we would advise you to throw away this Zues and focus on following The Faith because really, you wanna spend the rest of eternity dying and re-dying because you believe in some fairy tale? We don't mean to insult your intelligence, we know you may not have realized this, but its true. The Faith is real, Zues isn't, and we can prove it, just let us build our temples and you should go about getting rid of those dedicated to this make believe Zues character.

The news reached quickly, that Han had invaded Gojoseon, by a messenger. He read: Han army invading Gojoseon, location imminent. The king of Gojoseon was deeply distraught; he thought he could trust another nation! But not all was lost, for he had gained another. He, then, pondered the situation for a moment, and, shaking off his royal attire, he proceeded to the hill, where his father's Goindol was. A sacrifice to honor him, a once great conqueror of the north, before planning for war.

When he had returned, his general had assembled the escort army. Their numbers were only a glimpse of the Gojoseon's main army. But they needed something more. Something so powerful, that they can make a difference enough to stop the invasion.
