ASNES- Not going to end this time!

Amons a big picture? Crazy!

Inm the reign of Willson the Forgotten, a small fishing boat was sent to the 'big land'. It was a rough journey, but at last they landed on the beaches of Normandy, and claimed it for Britland.

There, they found a tribal village of Northern Gaul. The Northern Gaullic people joined the British peoples, and Britland now had land on the continent.

Aztex:
The Rise of the Cult: There is only one god and his name is Amon!

Many though Savag was a hermit and a lunatic, a crazy man that lived alone in the mountains and from time to time came to the village to trade things he had for things he needed, he was usually quiet, often coming and going without saying a word.
One morning it seemed that Savag was coming into town to trade things, however this time his intentions where very different. Close behind him a huge bear trailed him, the people began screaming in alarm, calling the warriors to arms, believing the bear had come looking for food, however Savag and the Bear continued to walk casually through the village until they came to the village’s totem, there Savag stopped, looked at the bear and then pointed at the totem pole, the bear walked to the totem, rose on his hind legs and began pushing it with its weight and strength, after a couple of pushes the totem broke with a loud snap and fell to the ground. The village gasped in disbelief, such blasphemy this was! The whole village was now cursed by the spirits, they will all die horrible deaths!. The Bear then lowered himself and stood on his for paws, Savag then climbed on his shoulders and after a movement of his hand the Bear Stood once more on his hind legs, with Savag sitting on his shoulders.

“Cast down your false idols!” he screamed, “There is only one god and his name is Amon!” He then continued his ranting about visions and “Celestial beings” visiting him in his cave and bringing him visions, telling him that he had been chosen has God eartly Avatar to spread the faith of Amon, the one true god.
Savag and his Bear began traveling from village to village, tearing down Totems and preaching the word of Amon, from time to time men, encouraged by the shamans, attacked him but Amon’s bear always managed to protect his master, suffering only relatively minor injuries. After a while some people began to follow Savag and as soon as this began to happen things began to snowball out of control, soon enough Savag had a huge following, the Faith of Amon was very strong in the more densely populated river areas, while the “Old Ways” were still predominant in remainder of the Aztex lands, however due to this major erosion of their power the Shamans began to meet in secret, planning and plotting for ways to restore their influence and power of the Aztex tribe, violence between the two religious groups began to spread and soon enough the Young Aztex tribe was engulfed in a religious civil war.

Orders:
Raise a holy army and begin to purge the infidels, consolidate the rich river areas.
Begin Domesticating bears to be used as “War Bears” (Along with “War Coyotes”) during warfare
Tear down Totems and other Pagan symbols, hold massive bonfires to burn these vile creations.

If I recieve 3 more sets of orders by 5PM Central US time (Approximately 10 hours from this post) I will update tonight.

And so the people of the Tapestry were blessed with the beauty that was Gold. It was a pretty metal and as a currency had no equal. However their were some among the people, lowly working class, that discovered it had no use beyond decoration. Despite this they held onto hope that within the earth itself the great Tapestry would provide them with other materials that might be more helpful to the working man.

When the Holy People were approached with the idea to search for more gifts from the Tapestry in the earth they agreed whole heartedly. On one condition, that the gold found would go to them, any other materials could be kept for the workers own experiments. The workers had no problem with this for while Gold was the currency they were after materials that would make the job of earning gold all the easier.

Some Holy People didnt trust their own people to find such materials so gave orders to the missionaries being sent out into the world to keep a look out for any helpful material, like Gold but stronger more practical. Any to find such a material would be rewarded on earth and in Heaven.

Meanwhile the Holy City flourished with the discovery of Gold the Temples took on a beauty never before seen in the known world. And The Tapestry Was Pleased.

Orders:
Expand in all directions.
Search for new Metals, In the dirt, in neighbouring tribes, everywhere!
Found that Holy City!!! Tapest it is called and it is most Holy and Golden.

The Explorer:

Their once was a boy named Knis who grew up always wanting to see what was over the next hill, or through the forest over yonder. His parents always tried to keep him close to home so that he could learn how to better serve the tribe and because the wild areas are well wild and many things can kill a young boy. None of this ever stopped young Knis. As he grew older he traveled farther and farther away from home, always wanting to know what was over that next hill, or across that next river.

One day when he returned home from such a journey men where waiting for him. They where from the army and had come to take him to his new home in this army. Knis spent the next several years in the army. In the beginning he tried to escape many times and resisted any and all lessons they tried to teach him but eventually as all things must he submitted and started to do things their way. He learned many things – how to survive off the land better, how to move silently and undetected, how to use the lay of the land to keep other from seeing you from long distances and short, how to track where he was by the sun and many others. He learned the value of companions and how to work in a team, but none of these things ever stopped his want of exploration.

Being with the army and traveling all over the Fendiar lands he heard stories of many wondrous things and wanted to see them with his own 2 eyes. When he was old enough to quit the army after many years of successful and fulfilling service he started his own little merchant company. This merchant company started out with just him but soon grew to a handful of men and women just like him – people who wanted to see more of the world than this little plot of land the Fendiar call their own. They became fairly successful doing trade with the various tribes around the Fendiar lands and soon had the Chief of Chiefs (CoC) himself calling on them to handle the most important of trade. This was when Knis got his first real culture shock. His group was chosen to at first go to the Kan lands and setup agreements and trade with them. From then on Knis’s trading company grew even larger, but even this didn’t satisfy him.

On one particular trip to the Kan lands Knis heard a rumor of a people to the east of them that worshipped a thing known as the Great Tapestry or something of that ilk. This intrigued him and once he got back home consulted the CoC about setting up an exploratory route to these new lands to see what kinds of people and trade could be gathered from them. Thus the plans where laid and Knis and a group of 25 strong set out for these unknown lands.

A Warriors tale:

Among the Fendiar there is a tale of a great warrior that goes by the name of Toltic. He lived many years ago but is still remembered to this day as one of the greatest fighters that have ever come out of the Fendiar tribe. He came from a time before the Fendiar had any real army to call on. Any fights the tribe had with its neighbors was done mainly by the hunters and any able bodied men that could be found (when the need was great). Toltic grew up with his dad (his mom had died of a fever when he was young) and learned everything his dad could teach him about being a man and a hunter. Without the motherly influence he grew up without much of a soft side. Toltic never made many friends and was feared by most (even among the tribe).

One year as the Fendiar where assimilating the tribes around their borders and expanding farther to the west they came across a coalition of tribes that had decided they did not want to be part of the Fendiar or to move off their lands. The hunters where gathered and moved out to teach this coalition a lesson they soon wouldn’t forget.

The Fendiar hunters moved in during the day letting the women and children move away from the battle site - their fight was just with the men of the tribe. The 2 groups engaged and the battle was on. Neither side seemed to be gaining any type of an advantage against the other. This continued on for several hours, both groups where exhausted when they broke up and retreated to their separate lines. That night no one got much sleep both because the enemy was camped not 2 miles from where they slept and because they knew the battle would resume in the morning.

What the coalition didn’t know though was that evening Toltic had gotten back from one of his many hunting trips and was informed about the situation. He made his was to the border and took charge of the hunters there. What happened on the next day has been charged as a miracle for not one Fendiar hunter lost his life that second day of fighting. It was said that wherever help was needed Toltic was there, he fought tirelessly and with a savage precision that inspired great fear into the opposing tribes. Within 2 hours of the start of the battle the coalition had surrendered. Many of the Fendiar men had battle wounds but none of them died that day or any other from the wounds taken in battle, though fully half of the enemy had died on Fendiar spears and axes.

Toltic went on to fight in many more frontier battles, many times the Fendiar walked away without a single death and on the rest the numbers lost where much less than the enemy. From these battles the Fendiar tribe had learned to fight as a single unit under the command of leader - this was the beginnings of the Fendiar Army.

Good story, Grombar.
