The black lines you'll see every once in a while is fortifications.

Take in mind that only what your men can see is what you can see as well...Unless you have scouts and/or spies...Then you will be PMed what they say

Sheep...If you want something from your officers get it from them...I give the position of your men to your officers...They will relay it to you and from there you may esimate your positions...As in real battle (at that time)I don't know how to get a scale on there so grab a ruler and look at 1 inch...That's 3 kilometers (around 3 centimeters if you're not using an inch)

"1 inch" is utterly un-useful, because of varying monitor sizes and resolutions.
Example: "1 inch" for me could be from the rightmost yellow army to edge of the map. Adjust the resolution, and hey presto, THAT SAME DISTANCE IS NOW 2 INCHES.

Add a scale. You do it by measuring up 1 of YOUR inches, drawing a black line of that length onto the map, then writing "1 day's march" under it.
Very simple.



At the moment, I have no idea where which troops are. I have not got a PM. Sheep has not got a PM.
