I thought 1. Qg4h5+ Kf7g8 2. Rd1d3 was quicker. 3 Rd3g3+ is coming and black is only able to either block on g6 after Nf8 or Qe8 (after which 4. Rg3xg6+ h7xg6 4. Qh6xg6 is mate or 3. Rg3xg6+ Kg8f7 R4. g6g7+ Kf7f8 5. Qh5f7 is mate) or block on g7 after Bf8 or Qf8 (after which 3. Rg3xg7+ Kg8f8 4. Qh5f7 is mate) or block on g5 following f6f5 (after which 3. Rg3xg5+ Qd8xg5 4. Qh5xg5+ Kg8f7 5. Qg5g7+ Kf7e8 6. Qg8xh8+ Ke8e7 7. Qh8xa8 is kind of convincing though 7. Qh8xh7+ Kd8 8. Qh7h8+ and 9. Qh8xa8 gets an additional pawn and 7. Qh8xh7+ Kd6 8. Rh1d1+ Kd6c7 9. Qh7xd7+ Kb6 10. Bh6e3+ leads to various mates)

I don't think I've fallen for a trap, since we left the opening book his plan has been lackluster, IMO, I think I'll have a winning endgame though I don't expect it to be easy!

It looks drawish but if anyone can win it's me, my pawns are better, king safer & rooks better coordinated. I think my rating's about to jump back up. :)

Both me and urithon are down to a few pieces each, and he just went and trapped my last bishop.:eek::sad::blush:

In my game against attila22, he opened with King's Pawn Opening (e4). I then responded with c7, to which moved d4, I decided to move out my knight via Nb7. I wonder how this game will develop...

Actually MadScot is pretty good, he's given me a hard run for my money in every game we've played & might have won a couple even (don't recall). I do think we're gonna get crushed though.

Anywayz, we need one more to start (min is 15).

Or we could just cancel the whole thing. :mischief:

Nah, I don't care that much about winning or losing, I'm sure it'll be a good learning experience for all & our victories will be sweet. :cool:

I removed a few strong players who joined but didn't respond to my messages & didn't join the team game (or participate in any way). They're free to rejoin of course (just booted, not banned) but it is primarily a CFC group (a group for people I know personally or from forums & like) so I don't like representin' some guys who don't even play for us.
 
I joined and am facing a 2011 rated player. Am I going crazy or something?
