This guide is an excellent example how to found a religion  Just give statements and stick to them hard enough and eventually people will believe - at least after few hundred years.

There is so much that can be said on that subject...

P. S.: I don't disagree. :)

I would add that Egypt with Hatshepsut is shown via venn diagram analysis to be a superior civ for a new player to utilize- one that does not have the aggressive trait.

Fact- Wonders and National Wonders= 15 Great Artist....9 or so Great Prophet
spiritual/creative
Fact- Quest that goes with uu

War Chariots
Prereq: THE_WHEEL AND State Religion
Obsolete: MONARCHY or LITERATURE or CODE_OF_LAWS or AESTHETICS or MATHEMATICS or ALPHABET or HORSEBACK_RIDING or IRON_WORKING or METAL_CASTING
Active/Weight: 25/200
Aim:
Build default number of players for this world size +1 Chariots (8 for standard)
Result:
1.All Chariot units gain the Combat 1 promotion
2.Spread your state religion to 5 own cities

A good war civ with a religion which is a lethal anomoly

Shouldn't this thread be locked?

So I take it you don't appreciate Attacko's strategical wisdom?!:mad::mad:

Same settings as DMOC here, I was soo happy when someone here told me how to put an user on ignore list... It was funny at the beginning, now it's plainly boring.

Funnily enough - does any of you ever read what's in an average spam mail? Seriously, it looks very much like troy's rambling.

strangest comments ever.

a poster comes onto a thread that the op is on his "ignore" list and then begs for the thread to be closed.
Inferior players with poor strategical idea that get irritated sure are a comical lot.

But since this duet of morons offer little to someone of my calibre it is funny to watch someone go to the effort of ignore- but then make comments. lol pea brains.

a pl guardian post? lol i wish it was like spam,- it is to boring to even be good spam.

Troy, I have to say, I think you should stop the articles. They were funny at first, but now they get dull. It's all the same thing: long, misused words and random italics. I admit those two posts are strangely contradictory, but they have a point. Stop these boring articles.

^^ What he said.

i'd suggest that you stop reading them. (it?)

the Attacko Strategy Guide works so well it makes people use the ignore and cry home to mama even on a blog.

Truly excellent guide!
After reading Attacko's guides one should read through the IGN guides to become the superior, here are an example of the wisdom to be found in they're text:

Still, Pericles (and the Greeks) is one of the weaker leaders in the game, and will be outclassed by a specialist nation that knows what it's doing.

The Incans and Zulus are the weakest two civilizations in the game, and because of Huayna Capac's attributes, the Incans are easily the worse of the two.

If you're going for a handicap match, have the better player pick the Incans to even things out.

Though Rome isn't quite up to the military ability as Germany and Mongolia

This is a very, very good civic in the early turns. When you get it, it's best to create a ton of Workers and have them go crazy with upgrading the land.

The only real benefit is the ability to sacrifice your people to finish a building, which is not a recommended strategy.

On Caste system...
specialist citizens are overrated. Stick with Serfdom, it will pay off bigger in the end.

People should really look at the IGN guide if they feel like having a laugh :D was attacko the genius behind these quotes?

I still enjoy them; I like how plausible they seem here and there.

thank you for the comments.

i am trying to find a guide about making rare quests and events more likely to occur, like the "Bowery" which does not happen very often but since i read about it and played a couple of games it "magically" popped up.

(Meaning that the unconscious probably set forth venn inter connections that worked.)
Event/Quest geared civ specific- (ie optimal yield)

As to the other guides, yes, some are good for beginner players. Attacko's is the superior however.

Wow, they think Serfdom is the ultimate civic... and that Slavery and Caste System are useless. :crazyeye:

I can't believe the person who wrote that guide even played the game.

Platinum thread Troy, pure platinum!

Attacko's theories really do work a treat......with the reader's of this forum.

The mind-games, the despair, the anger, the defense, the counter-attacks, the ensuing utter confusion.....

yes, focusing on Archer Gambits right now.

noticed that blocked in and reduced options with no metal or horse ended up being a positive in more than one case.

Three cities stuck producing combat and drill archers is actually sufficient and perhaps optimal in close quarters. Attacko's The Art of Defense in Civ4 touches upon this.

I prefer Defendo's The Art of Attack in Hello Kitty Best Friend's Game myself.

Am i going insane? I think i need to lay off the cough medicine =P
