i have never considered the subconcious of game designers in my tactics but am now worrying that i am overlooking exploitable parts of the game that could improve my play.
Troytheface, have you any Attacko reference to colour schemes, buliding types, wonders or religions that should be noted and could be exploited?

Heres the thing, Attackos plan seems to be to exploit "Human Nature", by confusing and frustrating your MP opponents into playing poorly or outright quitting.

Heres the thing he forgets, and I will even use a Chess analogy. Never expect your opponent to make a mistake, never plan on a poor move, just be prepared to take advantage of it if it does happen.

BTW, troy, since your a Chess fan (and so am I), did you see the movie "Searching for Bobby Fischer"? Its pretty good.

lol, yes a good ol movie. remember once in the state tournament i opened with knights to the sides- every game- and made it to the final round and got killed at the aftermath of a bad attack.

yes, the underpinning of strategy should be on knowing the enemy. and that does not necessarily mean build spies (although it does), and the enemy are the programmers as influenced by marketers.

which is one of the reasons Finanacial is one of the better traits

Brilliant. A real in the shot in the arm to jar me away from my previous sluggish meticulous economic ways.

glad that these articles helped you.

We need an assortment of diagrams, in secondary colors. Served with a side of cakes.

When using Venn Diagrams to illustrate Civ4 connections one should either use two or four or multiples of 2.

i notice most tend to use three- incorrect from the incept.

In so far as color coded-i suggest cooler colors as they are easier to view.

Attacko, I seem to have problems with a certain part of your strategy... It tells me to build a trireme fleet of death, which I assume would be lots of triremes with lots of promotions. The promotion part is becoming difficult - I can't put them above four xp, which is max 2 promos, since I have not yet researched Steel, and I have attached all of my great generals to my amphibious ballista elephants. What do you suggest I do? Play Vikings? Or perhaps a Charismatic civ? Or Carthage for the naval focus?

Play a Charismatic civ and play with "New Seed On Reload" so that you can continually smash your Triremes into Barbarians until they win the battle and get more XP. "New Seed On Reload" seems necessary for most of Attacko's strategies.

new seed on reload?

lol. that poster must be the greatest reloader of all time.
he should post a guide.

Couldn't be any worse than Attacko's. :D Funny stuff. Even funnier how people get all mad and retaliate. Fun to just sit back and watch.:lol::lol:

Attacko substitutes new seed on reload with sheer force of will. If you threaten the RNG enough, it won't generate bad numbers.

These threads are just the heart and soul of the CFC. Without Troy to entertain us with his GG centric ploys and random Historical Quotes, this forum wouldn't be half as fun to refresh every 5 mins during business hours.

Cheers!

:yup: albeit I wouldn't call it "heart & soul" but the necessary daily training of your abdominal muscles.
