Attila's Mods

Why do they add stuff like this that just screws things up? My mod wasn't working either, so I checked for the "import=0" addition, and every file in the mod now has this in front of it! Does anyone know if there's some updated modbuddy information from Firaxis that explains the changes they made and how to deal with them? I was also wondering, Attila, if you just uploaded the edited modinfo file or did something else to make your mod work. Thanks.

No info that I could find. However, I did figure out that you can right click each file in the Solution Explorer window on the right and select Properties, then set Import into VFS to True. This will generate a .modinfo file with import="1" and that will make your mod work. You may be able to select all files and set the property on all of them at once.

AH! Okay, thanks for that. I saw something like your explanation somewhere else, but it didn't make sense to me. Yours did! Thanks again.

Say Atilla, I don't suppose I could convince you to include bonus resources in the topPanel resource display list? It would be useful with mods which make more extensive use of those resources (eg Economy mod). I like your version a bit better than the AgS version (which does that) simply because I don't have to click into it and it's available from the city screen. If not, would you foresee any difficulty in implementing it? Just started trying to wrap my head around the update function in the lua.

edit: I thought about a separate list, but I know there's issues with spacing in the topPanel

I may look into that, but it will not be soon due to the holidays and the fact that I started a ROM game that will take me a while to finish.

Is there any way to download this without using the mod browser? because the PC I run the game on cant connect to the net.

Thanks.

Attila,

How would I go about changing the policy display in the top panel to show BOTH turns until next policy AND current culture + required culture? As in, default view + turns left.

I very much like your mod, but this particular issue with the display is rather annoying me as I cannot quite see how much I need to tweak my cities without opening the social policy page proper.

I have noticed on the first page that it states this mod is ok to use for the previous patch but is it alright to use with the latest one..?

Would you mind uploading v13 here? I dont have internet access on the machine I use to play the game.

Thanks! :)

Out of curiosity dancjm how did you register the game with Steam if you do not have Internet access or download the latest patches..?

A nice thing to have would be a change in color of the number aside the luxury resource symbol, if there's a opportunity of a resource trade.
Then the gem icon could be used as a link to the diplomatic overview.

I'm using Balance-Combined for a while now, but I never thanked you personally, Attila. Great Job!

I also wanted to suggest/ask for what Sararastro said, I read through the thread to see if it was suggested before. Maybe it would be even better to add a symbol like "(+)" [or "+x" where x is the number of surplus luxuries].

It is very important to trade them away quickly, before several AIs start asking for it and you take multiple diplo hits in a single turn.

can you toggle on and off stuff? I like everything other than not seeing science / culture per turn at a glance.

Other than this, great mod.

I have extracted some features from Attila's Mods into a few of the mods that make up SmoothPack.

Thanks for the work you put into creating Attila's Mods! I was motivated to create SmoothPack in part because I wanted to be able to use the TopPanel changes independently of the rest of Attila's Mods.
