I’m using AutoCAD 2002 and I can’t seem to make a cutting into the screw thread with both the inner and outer diameters subtracted from each other. It’s part of a pump that I’m making and I need help making the the right subtractions.

I posted a picture using Microsoft paint, since I can’t post an AutoCAD file ( becuase it's in the form.dwg)

I hope you can answer my question! :)

My point is that not many CFCers know a lot about AutoCAD (as you can tell by the number of people that posted here), but everyone there does.

Well haven't used AutoCAD, used other CAD software, but I imagine there are two ways to it...

1.Create the part from two sub-parts, and join them (Put different holes in each)
2. If the software has an option to define the length of a hole cutout, then create the smaller diameter hole first, then the second one to the desired length.

I assume this is what you want?
