Automatic Pizza Machine - has anyone tried this? how is it?

...except that it's -2C with wind chill and I don't feel like bundling up.
My swimming pool is already up to 82 deg. That would be 27.8C in Eurospeak.

:(

A couple of days ago, I could have gone outside and built a snowman. Granted, a small one, but a genuine snowman nevertheless. So I've been hanging on to my winter comfort foods this spring, because we only get spring a day or two at a time and then everything gets cold again.

Wow, another Star Trek invention comes to life! :mischief:

This thread is making me seriously consider hiking over to the neighborhood pizza place and indulging...

...except that it's -2C with wind chill and I don't feel like bundling up.

Thank goodness I still have a couple of frozen pizza pops in the freezer. :p

With weather like that you could take them out of the freezer and put them on the porch and they won't go bad

 What is this glorious thing you mention?!
Pizza Pops. I hadn't realized they're only available in Canada. As pizza-related foods go they're not bad... inferior to a real pizza from Family Pizza or Panago, but light years ahead of the abomination that is McCain's, or even the local Co-op deli (that stuff actually made me sick :ack:).

STOP IT, YOU'RE MAKING ME JEALOUS! I had to mow my grass again today :(
Well, these spring blizzards can crop up rather suddenly, with icy roads and zero-visibility. The highway between Calgary and Red Deer is extremely dangerous at these times, and driving is treacherous all over the southern part of the province. A man and his two little girls got killed from being run over by a VIA Rail train during this weather; speculation is that they couldn't stop in time and slid onto the tracks at exactly the wrong time. :(

While it may be not so bad, it can't be very good, it's obvious.

Instant yeast doesn't won't make a good dough. In fact, judging from the video, that one doesn't look good.

Those of you who think making pizza is "a simple assembly job. Take dough. add sauce, cheese, meat" (meat??:dubious:) just don't know pizza very well and never tried to cook one.

Of course it would taste terrible to you Rhye, you're from Italy, your standards are already too high. :D

For me though, the best pizza place around here is extremely expensive (though their deep dish is to die for ), so it would be nice to have a cheap alternative that isn't disgusting frozen pizza.

Do you use extra suger when you make the mother dough ? Do you let the dough sit out for four hours before putting it in the fridge for two days ?
My pizzas tend not to rise in the middle but the crust rises up quite nicely.

Unless it makes the dough fresh, by hand, it's likely full of preservatives, and therefore nasty.

I use a little sugar, and let it sit for a few hours. Usually I don't need to use the fridge, unless I want to eat it the following day.

From the looks of the video there are not preservatives.

My Italian is not exactly super, but I recall them saying that.

As someone who once served 11,398 pizzas to some 28,000 customers over the course of 7, 12 hour shits where I was the manager I take great offense to this

If any of you are from Vegas, I was the youngest manager Roxio ever had :D

It looks really cool. I'd give it a try!

When I hear "automatic pizza machine" I initially think "lol americans" or possibly "lol japanese", but this thing is Italian
I'd try it out of curiosity, but I don't have very high expectations.
