I'm starting this thread to show WIP and ask for criticism on a series of Civilopedia Icons/Wonder Splashes/Techtree Icons I'm working on. I'll mostly use CC models from the Google Warehouse, rendering them in Bryce.

Here's an attempt at a "Road Building" tech icon.



I used a greek rider from this model and this terrain with dirt track with edited materials.

Here's a WIP of a "The Telephone" tech icon.

I like the Telephone, a lot!

But honestly the Road Building is a little odd. It looks like a screenshot from an animation program and there's not any actual road building in it.

Building not as a "construction" but as "creating".
