you can use png's in the same sense that you can measure the size of the universe down to the meter. It's theoretically possible, but it's just so big that you can rarely ever do it.

png is smaller than gif and it supports alpha channel transparency

I don't know. A long time ago I tried using a .png here and it didn't allow me to so I assumed it's still that way...

Can someone please make the background transparency? It also needs to be less than 24 kb, so if the transparency thing doesn't work out it'd just reduce the kb size please.

Don't change the size (leave it at 100x97) (It's not for here).
