I find 65 by 65 pixels to be quite small. I would prefer to see 90 by 90. That way there are more details in the avatar.

65x65 is quite large enough, thank you.

I am hear to read (and respond to) the posts, and I don't need a honking huge avatar cluttering up the screen. As it is, they are small enough to be relatively unobtrusive, yet large enough for identifying individuality.

And how many threads on avatar size does this make this month? :)

We should have a faq on stuff like this...it might cut down on the amount of threads we have. Here could be some questions:

1) Why is the avatar size only 65x65
2) What is the amount of posts you have to have before you can get a custom avatar?

I think it is fine the way it is....

The 65x65 works fine for the only thing I use them for (To identify people)

Ditto.

Everyone who has dialup should be banned! :D

Keep it as it is! I find larger ones to be annoying, more than anything else. These are perfect, IMHO.

I don't need bigger avatars. They'd only slow down the forum. Besides that, big avatars usually compensate for something else.
