[NFP] Babylon Pack (November 2020) - Patch Notes Discussion

I wonder why Wolin was introduced as a CS, does it have some interesting history behind it?

Nothing against it, was just surprised.

In my mind, Wolin is there representing Pomerania, especially in the dark and early middle ages. It was a significant place, but one that more often was fought over rather than an actor in its own right. Hence the militaristic outlook. At least that was my thinking. (Anteeksi se ei ole pori tai helsinki)

That's pretty cool!

Now if only Military City-States could have a different colour than Free Ones, that would be great :D

Anyone finding the new CS Chingueti ridiculously powerful? Look at that faith...

I like Wolin's Suzerain bonus quite a bit oh yes OvO I'm a little sad that air units don't benefit (I guess it'd be hard to determine what gets points), but more Great General points and Great Admiral points from fighting sounds great, and is potentially more useful than Kabul's doubled exp.

I'll resurrect this rather than start a new thread and this may be common knowledge, but Ayutthaya suzerain bonus (production converted to culture) does apply to the free tier 1 building that Babylon gets. Loads extra early culture if you have Ayutthaya + Hercules to pop any combination of 3 different districts.

Yeah, it works if you simply buy buildings as well, which is pretty good if you're playing someone like Mali or Carthage

Ah, so lots of culture from faith purchased markets, for example. And later cash purchased whatever. Nice. I mean, bugged (it makes sense at 10% conversion, but not at 50% or 60% or whatever it actually is), but nice.

Edit to add - and great people insta-builds... James of St. George, for example - 3x ancient and medieval walls is roughly 450 culture in addition to the walls.
