This is a multiple options poll on our relationship with the Babylonians

I recommend to improve the relations from cautious to polite in order to stabilize southern border and to develop a research partnership with the babylonians.
Cultural pressure is also important in this relation.

Polling relationships and general policy on the 4 civilizations:

This poll is established in order to define the development in the relationship with our neigbors. As the nature of diplomacy is long term, and sometimes irreversible, not only the Foreign Minister is resposible for a long term approach, but also the Japanatican people. Therefore, I will first poll the entire spectrum of the foreign policy options, and then slightly upgrade or downgrade the relations in agreement with the TA, SA and MA, as well as the people. I have charted the entire scope in foreign relations from the Fanatikku Pact/Foreign Aid Client State through Genocide Total War, in order to appease everything from peacemongers to Babylon haters.

This list is probationary, yet should be detailed enough to make finely adjusted Foreign Policy.

Policy Options

Fanatikku Pact (MPP)
Long Term Brother People of Japanatica
Development Aid Client State

Military Partnership
Trade Partnership
Research Partnership

Polite
Cautious
Annoyed

Secure resource locations
Block expansion chokepoints
Intrusion/Cultural Conquest

Partisan War (strike at stray units, capture workers and destroy roads)
Colonial War (Conquer 1 city)
Low Scale War (Conquer 1-3 cities)

Total War, Assimmilation (Japanaticize conquered civilization)
Total War, Forced Labor (make Civ people into workers)
Total War, Genocide, Starve/Raze Cities (Eliminate civ people)

I will only poll the gradual shift in Foreign Policy relations to the four CIVS.

Babylonia : Cautious
Iroquiois : Polite
Rome : Annoyed
Zulu : Polite

I recommend the following policies

upgrade relationship to Babylonia to
Polite, Research Partner

maintain relationship to Iroquois
Polite, may extend to research partner

maintain relationship to Rome, possibly improve,
however, press for an Eastern Special Ops Plan, stop tech trades, no luxury trades, and contain Roman expansion North and East.

maintain relationship with Zulus
Polite, may extend to trade partner, but be careful on tech trades.

This is a multiple poll, one for each CIV

polls dont come up until provo finishes them, the thread goes up as soon as you move to the poll creation screen.

Im obviously anti-bab, but not in a war criminal way.

And I gave a fitting tribute to ravensfire.

The poll is up. I would prefer to make Babylon as small of a threat as possible.

we should be very agressive verse them and of course my war vote isnt right away, but eventually it has to happen

I've never had fun with Babylon...so...with that in mind, I'm all for Total War/Concentration Camps. Send them back to the stone age with the Japanatican crest stamped on their foreheads.

i agree, it always seems the babylons, russians, or englsh mess my game up

Poll will not be answered, as it expires probably right after the Turnchat, and I will need to see the results of our colonization of the Southern Highlands before adopting a posture.

If we successfully secure the Plateau: Trade partner, perhaps Research Partner.

If they penetrate the Plateau: Low-Scale War in Late Ancient Period (Early Medieval), Total War in context of other Civs and Wonder Possession (Great Lighthouse) during AoS.

SD3

This is longterm based on your present opinion, and will be upgraded on a running basis.

SD3, that is correct, I will take measure for now, short term and long term in the interpretation of this. The Total War supporters I assume think long term.

Isn't this topic little too early? I think we can't decide this yet, at least i don't know where to put my vote.

I think when we get swordsmen we can conquer both barbs and zulu because thei UU will be too weak. Assimilation on the way.
I like Borg idea: resistance is futile.
