Back to Our Roots

The United States is disappointed in Cuba's aggression, and we would like to highly reccomend they withdraw immediately.

ok i just thought of something, anything white is me. They are NPC controlled until someone takes them over, or comes in with a new country.

These nations for our purposes are weak, and really resistance will be slim. however i do not want a colonization of the world just yet, we will get to coloring it soon enough. get creative like i did with Cuba.

Alright. I will make sure to note in my orders specifically when I'm going to do stuff that involves different Commonwealths that report to Great Britain.

Leadership of British West-Germany turned over to new federalized government
This evening, the honorable Prime Minister Winston Churchill signed into law the agreement that turned over Royal Army control of western Germany to the new government that has been approved to rule in the British sector. This government will rule autonomously, while the Royal Army shall maintain a military presence in the region to prevent violence, and aid the new assembly. With such an institution now in place, Germany can begin to rebuild and restructure after the Nazi regime.

Recall of British Armed Forces
Corporal_2C_East_Surrey_Regiment_1940

Men like the one pictured, corporal John Averinson, are going to see their families again in the massive recall of British soldiers this year. Enacted by parliament, and the Royal Army, soldiers that served in such campaigns of the liberation of Italy, and the war in Africa, are now off active duty and are being met with reserve status or honorable discharge, an opportunity to resume civilian life, and to return to friends and family with stories of glory and battle. John Averinson, who gave a short interview, was glad to see his home in York, and proud to have served in what many are calling the Second Great War, or in the States, the Second World War. As our boys come home from battle, however, we must not forget those sons of Britain who were not so lucky, as the Monument of the Fallen Unknown in Parliament Square will remind us all.

To the U.S.A
From The United Caribbean under Cuba

The Government of Cuba would like to notify the government of the United States that the nations of the Caribbean peacefully agreed to joining together under the Cuban government and we did not use any form of aggression against them.

you're confusing me now are you talking about any white nation or the United Kingdom?

I'm talking about Commonwealths and colonies of Great Britain, for example, Canada and Australia. Ahh, that reminds me, India, Israel and Iraq were all colonial territories of Great Britain at this time, and reported directly to the British monarchy and parliament, can I get that reflected on the map?

(Commonwealths of Great Britain: Canada, Australia, New Zealand)
(Colonial Territories of Great Britain: India, Israel, Iraq)

EDIT: I can provide multiple sources to all this information, if there's any confusion :)

The United States would like to request that Cuba submit to US and UN investigators in order to determine whether or not this is the case. If we find that you are indeed correct, and all are free and equal, we will withdraw with apologies.

The United Nations wasn't formed until 1949, and thus, what would make sense was an Allied inquiry. I shall make a post in the Grand Alliance group forum to discuss the matter tomorrow.

ok i wasnt sure about timeline wise when those countries gained independance. if in fact they were controlled by UK at that time, for our purposes you control them outright, I'll reflect that in the next map.

Colonies for our purposes will be not shown, only things were going to show is outright control

The Government of the United Caribbean will accept these conditions and not interfere in the investigation.
@ Lords of Elves The Charter of the United Nations was signed on April 25, 1945 in San Fransisco.

lord has a fantastic point, get a UN together, or league of nations, what have you. the real power in the world is in fact the allied forces occupying the known world at this point, not any governing official body.

and the Caribbean is going to be a nation, really just us making things go smooth

The United States is pleased.

THE NEW YORK REVIEW

Earlier today, Bishop Francis Hyland, close adviser to President Truman announced the United States will become a "Sanctum of Democracy". He declared the United States will take a course of action that will ensure stability and freedom across the world, in the fight against tyranny. He also assured the world that though the United States will be adopting this attitude, it will not attempt to bring conflict with Communism.

Thank you big nasty one for smoothing it out. Anyways I plan to use this post to write about the reaction in the government over their short lived inspection by the U.S.A.

Inspection Crisis

January 3rd, 1946 a group of United States officials arrived in Havana the capital of the new government with the mission of inspecting the formation of the country to look over reports to make sure it was united through the form that was announced by the Cuban government. For 2 days the government stayed out of the main buildings waiting while a large portion of the media began to print out conspiracy theories and other things to denounce the government. As the people began to lose trust President Ramón Grau intervened and gave a speech where the most widely reported line was "The Government is here to serve you and be your voice to the other voices of other nations we represent you and we will always stand for you in this world!" Some of the media called it propaganda others called it a speech of nationalistic ideals while some took it at face value and saw it as a step towards a true representative government of all nationalities in the nation. On January 5th, 1946 the officials from the United States left finding no evidence of anything covert occurring from December 1st 1945 to January 1st 1946. With this the media began to back off from the politics for the time being and shifted to reporting on stories through out the entire nation mainly on the tensions in Trinidad&Tobago.

BN1 Same here, France has tons of colonies,
Chad, Equatorial Africa, Syria, Lebanon, Indochina, morroco, Mali Algeria, Tunisia, Djibouti..(etc..Etc..)
~~~~~~~
France was one of the most effected countries of this war, it was totally occupied, ever since the Americans liberated it Charles De Gaulle had good hopes for his country, but it would need lots of work, The French army was war torn and almost non existent, and France didn't even have a navy or an airforce. De Gaulle's first plan of action was to increase the army and its training program, build new carriers seeing it was the ship of the future, and increase the airforce. While on the home front, he decided to build more roads, and increase the funding for schools and universities. While on the colonial front, Syria and Lebanon gained independence in April 1947 because many of the people wanted to. While in the other French Colonies an act was passed that made all citizens living in French colonies citizens of France. While they could not vote for the President of France they could vote for the Governor of their colony, and vote for their representatives to make sure they had voice in the making of laws and the lowing and raising of taxes.
~~
Are those what orders are supposed to look like?
ok this is going to get crazy with the colonies.
here's what were going todo. I want a specific list from everyone that thinks they have a colony or right to extra land I do not have marked on the map. Some of it i have already with the US controlling the pacific islands.
Post those in orders, or in stories, doesn't matter to me. after the 2nd update, the map is sealed from any more fiddling, and you are SOL at that point, invade it if you want it type deal.
If the U.S continues itd acts of Neo-imperialism, the USSR will not join in, in any revamped League of Nations. Stalin also would like to say he found the American nuclear proliferation act "cute".
The U.N, and by extension, U.S, is in no position to dictate what we as a nation can and cannot do. Not a single U.S or U.N inspector will step a foot into my land, without the say of me, and my people. We encourage Cuba to do the same.
adding right now the population and economies tabs in the country descriptions.
Bn1: Can I send you a map VIA PM(or on the thread w/e suits you) with The French's Colonies?
Here are what I would ask are under my direct control: OTL Israel and Iraq, and OTL India and New Zealand. All other nations with allegiances to the royal crown of Great Britain are Commonwealths, and I will simply mark them as such in my orders when I have to deal with them.
BN1
The USA should occupy Italy, Denmark, Norway, and half of Austria.
The USSR should occupy Poland, Bulgaria, Finland, Romania, Albania, and half of Austria
Occupations aren't control. As stated earlier, I will make mini-maps of that if deemed necessary, but there is still a country under Italy, and Japan, and Poland. Occupation does not mean you own that land or its people are citizens.
