French orders:
~~~~~~~
France was one of the most effected countries of this war, it was totally occupied, ever since the Americans liberated it Charles De Gaulle had good hopes for his country, but it would need lots of work, The French army was war torn and almost non existent, and France didn't even have a navy or an airforce. De Gaulle's first plan of action was to
increase the army and its training program,
build new carriers seeing it was the ship of the future, and
increase the airforce. While on the home front, he
decided to build more roads, and increase the funding for schools and universities. While on the colonial front,
Syria and Lebanon gained independence in April 1947 because many of the people wanted to.
While in the other French Colonies an act was passed that made all citizens living in French colonies citizens of France. While they could not vote for the President of France they could vote for the Governor of their colony, and vote for their representatives to make sure they had voice in the making of laws and the lowing and raising of taxes.
