Back to Our Roots

orders look however you want them too. if you post a sweet thread like lord did like a newspaper, and in it he writes what the country is doing, those are orders. if you PM me specific troop movements, those are orders, if you did what you just did, and let everyone see all Obama transparent like, by all means. that's the difference here, you guys are writing this history, there is a 1000 foot leeway here. It's only no if i say its no.

Cuba's See Through Movements of 1946
Cuba spends British aid on new industries for experienced workers and also on improving health care through out the nation.
Cuba has its navy patrol almost constantly in its waters and begins negotiations with other Latin American Countries on full recognition.
Cuba also concentrates internally on rising tensions in Trinidad&Tobago.

OOC:The last part is a sort of saying on the next story I'll write which is also mentioned on the page before this in Inspection Crisis.

The Democratic Sanctum of the United States is confident that the events in Cuba have remained indeed democratic, and we thank Cuba for their cooperation

***A MESSAGE FROM THE EMPIRE OF BRAZIL TO THE WORLD***

The Empire of Brazil, an industrious, peaceful nation, wishes to spread the message of peace and fraternity to the world! We wish to open trade with all nations, regardless of government. Let peace and prosperity rule the land!

To: Empire of Brazil
From: Republic of Turkey

The Turks are glad to hear that of nations that share their hope for peaceful coexistence among the world. May the world never be so bloodied again.

OOC: I'm confused by the map. Are the communists in complete control of China? Also, when are orders due.

To: USSR
From: China

China is interested in discussing with the USSR the return of the Manchuria region of China to its rightful owners. Also, as a fellow communist state, we are interested in further friendship and cooperation between our two glorious nations.

OOC: Why does the U.K have all of Ireland? By this point, it should only have Northern Ireland.

That is correct. Did I come in and force them back into the Union or something?

From: The United Kingdom, His Majesty's Office of Foreign Affairs
To: The Communist Party of China
We would like to be assured that our territory of Hong Kong will not be damaged by any militancy occurring in the Chinese region.

Occupations aren't control. As stated earlier, I will make mini-maps of that if deemed necessary, but there is still a country under Italy, and Japan, and Poland. Occupation does not mean you own that land or its people are citizens.

But the Soviets actually annexed Lativa, Estonia, and Lithitunia. Shouldn't /that/ be on the map?

No intentional harm will be done to the Hong Kong area. However, we would like to bring up the possibility of returning Hong Kong to Chinese rule sometime in the future.

From: The United Kingdom, His Majesty's Office of Foreign Affairs

We are glad to hear that the ongoing conflict in Asia will not affect British territory or citizens.

Signed, Prime Minister Winston Churchill

We extend to you the hand of friendship, as one nation to another.

From the Ashes of Empires
Chapter One

On the Balcony of the State Building Giving address on the 23rd anniversary of Turkish release from British occupation newly elected Prime Minister Adnan Menderes speaks.

It has been 23 years since the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne ending occupation and establishing the Republic of Turkey. We have come a long way from that devastation on the road of freedom and peace. Our government kept us out of the carnage and devastation of the past 8 years that engulfed the world. We must turn our eyes to the future, to invest in infrastructure, education, and industry.

Our brothers throughout the rest of the Islam world shall not be forgotten. We promise that we shall not stand for foreign occupation in the Middle East. The west has shown no concern for our people. They take from us, beat us, and leave when things get rough. The British turned us against ourselves, promised the Arabs aid and freedom. However, when the dirty work was done and many Turks and Arabs had died they turned their back on the Arabs. The invasions, the troops marching through the streets. We cannot forget these atrocities; we must use these memories like coals in a fire to build Turkey into the shinning example of progress.

I have put into works in parliament to make funds available for a ten year restructuring and rejuvenating of our great country. Fixing roads, ports, and the rail system, also to build schools and to one day build a great university of Istanbul. We are working on ways to pay for these advancements through reduction in waste and extravagances…

The speech went of for another twenty minutes before a commencement of a military parade through the main faraway through the city of Istanbul.

To: Middle East/Former Ottoman Territory
From: Republic of Turkey

We hope to grow our relationships with your country to build trade, exchange of ideas, and to protect our countries from foreign invasions.

Signed,
Adnan Menderes Prime Minister of Turkey

From: Great Britain's Territories of Judea and Abyssinia (Israel, Iraq)
To: Republic of Turkey

We welcome trade with our ally of Turkey, and a fruitful economic relationship.

This isn't a historical NES. Look at Germany. Look at the other Germany. Quit your :):):):):)ing! If you don't like the way the map looks.. Invade some trash, and make the map look however you want it to.

The "other Germany", has become Cuba, and Germany has gotten quite nearly the same deal as it did OTL; the Allies have divided it into quadrants, which are overseen by the respective nations, and governed by the Federal Republic of Germany.

So far, variation from OTL has been reasonably small.

OOC: The only real changes is that Cuba controls the Caribbean, Communist China having no resistance in takeover, and that NATO is founded 3 years earlier, and with a different name.

None of which matters. My post is merely to try and get you kids to stop :):):):):)ing about pointless crap and ruining the fun-natured spirit of this NES. The first update has been posted. Play from there, and make the world as you want it.
