Bad Company 2 better than MW2? Two minutes pure gameplay

that's why punkbuster is teh suck.

It did the same thing to me on BFV; after I tried everything, 2 days later, it went away.

Finally its working, im liking this game. The last game in the battlefield series I even played was 2142, and it got me wondering today. Theirs helicopters in this game, are there jets like in the main battlefield series? Because that would be neat as long as they're not completely overpowered like in Battlefield 2 when it first launched.

Was hardly able to play at all this afternoon. Takes forever to get into a game if at all due to EA's suffocated servers, once in it's a dice roll as to whether or not Punkbuster will swing it's axe... slip by that danger and you may get to play a while, until the server randomly 'loses connection'; and then it's back to the main menu where the dance of death begins again.

Traffic for the game has apparently been much higher than either EA or Dice anticipated, but even so it's pretty baffling how two experienced companies supposedly at the top of their industry can produce something so non-functional. Half the trouble would be gone if it weren't for the constant need to sling information off to EA's servers so they can track your stats / unlocks / achievements and suchlike detritus that adds nothing to the game. :/

Having said that, I did get some time in while I should have been sleeping and there were presumably less players on - rush is a cool game-mode, has a nice pace to it and a cool feeling of a rolling battle between pitched forces. Conquest is also fun but the action tends to be more spreadout and random.

And now its back to punkbuster roulette.iaushdanfjkasd

Am I the only one who has never had a problem with punkbuster?

And yeah, EA"s servers have been having issues. Today and yesterday they took them offline for a few hours for maintenance, I noticed today my favourite and history server lists showed correct pings for the servers, though not so on the master list :( But hey, at least they are fixing things.

EDIT: Tried this for Punkbuster problems?

I've been having loads of fun too, when the servers actually work.

Killed someone with a knife through this chain link fence. Didn't even see him, just found out I had taken someone out when I saw the dogtags.

Wish the single player was more entertaining. Or at least funny. And maybe provide and explanation as to what happened after the first one. And to end on such an odd note isn't very entertaining, you do all that running around hoping for mass engagements only to be told thats in BC3

I'm still a little annoyed at the unlock system for multiplayer. Seems to me the more you unlock the easier it is to get points, and the more points you get the more unlocks you get and the more unlocks you get and so forth. I figured you woud go from 0 points to X points get an unlock then start over at 0 and work up to Y points.

Most of the guns for Engineer have the same damage, though the last two I have gotten (The Uzi and some other gun) have less damage but a super high rate of fire.

The only really unbalanced ones are the medic's later unlocks, or at least the M60 is definitely OP.

It seems to me to that all of the pistols are way overpowered.

And is there any way to turn off the annoying smoke and dust effects? They just get in the way of everything.

I think the dust, smoke and snow drifts add something. Because it hides you just as much as the enemy and it really helps with the feel of the terrain.

Meh they went a little overkill, whenever Im using the LMG i cant even see what Im aiming at once I start firing, even in short bursts, and when your manning the secondary gun in APC's you cant see when the APC is firing....

Aaaaaaaaaaand hackers. Already. Ive only seen one so far that I know was a for sure, but there was a guy who was for one, already level twenty six, for two, was fifty over one, for three, UZId me from two miles away. I even looked up his stats, he had 97% accuracy with the uzi and over 95 with almost every weopon...why do people have to ruin games like this?

I haven't encountered any hackers afaik. You have to expect them early on though, as the new hacks have to be caught then Punkbuster has to develop ways to detect and block them.

Thats what sucks though, I was in a perfectly good rush game but the entire mathc was ruined by some "grizzly" something something on the beach with an UZI and something like 84 kills and zero deaths. WE ONLY HAD 100 TICKETS! and it just kills the round for not only the losing team but for his own team as well, there not joy or thrill when your team is composed of a bunch of joe schmoes and then the terminator.

Gameplay is alot of fun but there are some annoyances that pop up:

-Players who hop into tanks or APCs and drive them right at the other team like they're invincible, only to get rocked by anti-tank weapons... so frustrating to watch a vehicle that could actually be useful get wasted like that.

-SNIPERS, everyone wants to be a goddamn sniper, jeebus. Teams with 50% of the players just creeping around ignoring objectives and plinking away at any targets they might see, all while the tickets tick down and the M-Coms get to chill like nothing was happening. Dice should really have included a straight team deathmatch mode for the players who just want to nurse their kills/deaths ratio.

Comes with the territory though I guess, it's all part of the Battlefield experience.

Ya when ever I get those half sniper teams I just tick it off as an easy victory.
