I just started playing FF2 again after a long hiatus and noticed that Crusade no longer produces Demagogues. That is a shame as it was a huge part of the reason for going with Crusade and gave Bannor some much needed uniqueness. Without it, Bannor is a run of the mill plane jane civ. I'm not sure why it was changed, I dont ever recall anyone claiming it was overpowered and I used to lurk in the forums qute a bit. Any chance we can get this back as Crusade (and Bannor) doesn't have much appeal without it. (IMHO)

What do you mean, Crusade no longer produces Demagogues? You may wish to check your facts, since I'm pretty sure I just finished a game with them and it was fine.

It still does. It can create a demagogue from a town (reducing it to a village in the process), but only has a 20% chance each turn. If you want a lot of them, use the Bannor world spell.

Thats really odd, the tool tip must be just be flat wrong then. I know when I start a game of fall from heaven and choose bannor and look at civics and hover over crusade I don't see the bit about demogogue's being created. Also, the civlopedia doesnt even have an entry for demogogues, nor are they listed as a unique unit for Bannor... I'm happy to be wrong on this, but I'm wondering whats going on.

(scratches head)

The in-game documentation is out of date for some things. I'm certain that demagogues still spawn however.

Demagogues require Iron Working (and the Crusade civic) to be built in cities. Perhaps that is your problem?

Ok, yes, I was indeed wrong and Crusade works as I remember. The odd thing thing is that remember the description under civics including the bit about getting demogogue's. So either my memory is faulty, entirely possible, or they were taken out at one point and put back in? Dunno.....but I am glad they are still there!

Sorry for the fuss and confusion.
