Barbarian As Golden Age Generator (?)

I am playing as Montezuma right now, and I already have 3 great generals popped for great age, without provoking war :)
and I have 4 SP at 700 AD only with four cities :P

Sadly, the rate that encampment occurs in FoW areas are low, too low for my taste :(
I am using raging barbarian setting, btw and Honor SP
 
2. It's boring micromanagement. Plinking city states with my units to build up their insta-heal promotions while waiting for the rest of my units to build is the best way to play, but it isn't particularly fun.

There was lot of boring micro in any Civ game that I didn't do because I hate boring micro. If that meant not moving up in difficulty, so be it. :)

wow, that is quite surprising it need thousand of culture to unlock sp, or at least u must kill hundreds of unit to make the perk (1 killed make 1 culture) useful. I dont know how u do it, but its interesting.

Ok back to topic. I thought its alright, fighting barbarian without gaining exp is bit lame. I think to balance the game, the barbarian spawning have to be stable, mean, there are no more spearman, warrior, or archer spawning at modern/future age. Its break everything even the flow of the game.

It make me like, "what? an archer for my gunship?"

Haven't played with Monte yet, but I believe someone on this forum said that stronger units give more culture.

You get culture equal to half the combat strength of the unit killed. So apart from civilian units, the least you can ever get is 2 (archer).

I park an archer and two warriors outside barbarian camps. One camp for one city. Everytime it spaws barbarian, I outright kill it. I think 2 turn per barbarian. I am neighbour with Bismarck, and for the love of God I don't know why he park that scout outside one of the barb camp, like, forever and doing nothing.

Well, England then came and spoiled the fun by razing the encampments. Bad, Bad Lizzy!
