if the new BSG had an episode like SG-1's 200 then maybe i would watch it.
and question for bsg fans. were the human form cylons introduced in the new bsg or the original series?

new series. its a new concept not a continuation and 200 doesnt really make up for all the preachiness og sg (which by the way i am a fan of the oneil shows)

You simply cannot take single episodes of BSG and really enjoy the show. You'll have no fracking idea what's going on, and it probably will seem wacky and/or non-sensical. If you have any interest with it, start with the miniseries and go forward from there, in order.

IIRC humanoid cylons were mentioned in a single episode of TOS.

Stargate was a good show when it started, but they've tried to drag it out for to long. I really lost interest after 4 or 5 seasons.

it went down hill in season 6 and jumped back up in season 7, just wait for Stargate Universe, next year.

The HFCylons seem a bit familiar, like the HFReplicators. From SG-1 S6 Unnatural Selection.

I saw some of an episode once and was really turned off by the constant music. Is that how the show is or was it just that episode?

I like the theme music - I find it adds something to the atmosphere.

How is this now a cliff hanger? Who/what is that cylon fleet?

I know - and you're right.. which is why I'm having so much trouble explaining what I didn't like about it. I just didn't CARE for some reason - and I say this as someone who ALWAYS cares about Battlestar - I'm not one of those fickle fans that likes this but complains about this etc. - I genuinely love this show. I just couldn't get into that last one.

I'm not one of those people who complains about the non-action - I like the drama and the suspense and the story line. But this show was almost all courtroom, then they pull that last 3 minutes out (some of which seemed like nonsense) and I'm suppossed to be "hooked" on it? Plus I thought the rock music was corny and out of character. Nothing worked for me that episode for some reason.

I think we're on page for most things except while I think yes the music was OOC it was cool, and you have got to love
Spoiler :
Tigh, "If I die today then thats the man I'm going to be!" and the looks between those four, awesome....
so while yes it was sorta disappointing it was still kinda cool.

I love Sci-Fi but didn't like BG. It's just too dark and wacky. I like Stargate a lot better since it never seem to take itself too serious.

SG doesn't know what it wants to be. After first 4 seasons, it became so lame I couldn't watch it anymore.

BSG is dark, yes, but what is funny about having your entire race obliterated by nuclear weapons and running for your life? Nothing.

Besides, the special visual effects in BSG are the best I've seen in any sci-fi series.
