Wow thats strange find purple cities near Aztecs (other side of the world) meet Iroquois.
Same.JPG

Left is Inca, right is Iroquois not sure if their the same color but they are very close.

Notes:
Factory has the food but not the production yet.
Mecca.JPG

After the mine will have 6spt, after the other square is mined will have 8spt, 6+6+2+8+8=30.
In the off turns Medina can take the BG

Looking good. We can have the necessary sheilds for the 4 turn settler this time around if we take the BG from Medina right now. Unless, of course, the mining is finishing in the IT, in which case taking the BG is unnecessary.

Can we switch Medina to a worker instead of another regular warrior?

left the settler unmoved on last turn so we can decide where we want to settle,
Mecca will finish another settler next turn
maybe we should shift down the 1st settler to tobacco spot since Byz start to encroach us. next settler could claim spice and bananas later
what's really unique in this game that 2 Civs have really the same color, brilliant idea

there are trading opportunities but we lack the money
btw built another reg warrior, it's better to have the towns covered than to leave them totally empty

I did that because when I started min research took 19 turns, max research (80%) took 17 and I thought we would be able to use the money to buy 2fer techs. Because of the color mix up I met the Iro a turn late which also affected how much techs cost.

Just curious, but happened to Mecca? Are we trying to run a settler factory or not?

I thought we we're after we get the first settler out (because the factory wasn't ready yet)?

From Rat's picture it looks ready now.

And Meteor is right a few settler were built while it was getting ready to keep it at below size 7.

Well, no one else has jumped in. I will probably play Sunday morn, leaving two days where the roster is still open and someone can claim a spot.

I realize we needed a few settlers beforehand, but before Rat's turns I thought it was readt to go online. I doesn't look like it is now, but perhaps I'm missing something from the picture. I do believe its size 7 now, a definite no no for factory operation. Its not a huge thing, but it might cost us a city site. Then again, perhaps not.

yup, it's size 7, because we were still not making enough shields. and once we have that we skip the warrior in between, but some other city has to crank out MP's then.

dl123654, my comment wasn't about min research but doing research when everyone had that already. sometimes inheriting a turn just need one to adjust, so lucky we got 2 techs from there.

Still haven't settled the bananas or spice. I put the priority on cities that could get land that the Byzantines might take and cities that could grow in 10 turns to make workers.

We fell farther behind in techs, as Monarchy is known. We still have some turns left on Writing, which is known by all. At least learning it might open up some trading opportunities. As it is, we could maybe buy Polytheism for all of our economy and then try to get some techs for it, but I decided against this route until we knew Writing.

after settling phase, we might want to fight for techs? we must know first whether we have iron or horses

Certainly. At Deity with an expansionist or agricultural civ, I often try for the Wheel at max, giving knowledge of a resource reasonably earlier and a fair amount of the time, a monopoly tech. With Writing being a "gateway" tech, or something along those lines, knowing who has what beyond Writing is very important in trading. I decided to take the risk that Polytheism will still be unknown by some, with the hope that our improved economy by the time we get Writing (six turns off, I forgot to mention) will allow some trades.

[You can be the official roster keeper in my games, if you like, ThERat]

I very much agree on this....would have taken that gamble as well.

LK is doing that also for you
I can do that, but soon won't be around for a while (will pester my brother and father to get me access to this site though, so I can give comments while not being able to play. My brother joked and said while at his place, I can finally play 'real' games. Btw he is into FPS nonsense)
anyway, I didn't quite understand you AP stuff on the other site about exams and all that, since I come from Germany, our system seems to be entirely different and I was  )

In American high schools, well most at least, Advanced Placement courses are offered which prepare students to take Advanced Placement tests in early May. If passed, these tests give credit at most colleges, as the courses are more or less cover the same subject matter as the equivalent introductory course at a college, though some schools require higher scores on the AP tests than other schools. The two weeks of testing roughly equate to finals week in a college, with testing for each subject lasting 4-5 hours.

wow, ok...seems complicated...but maybe that's also because I always slacked at school...most of the time, at least...and it also tells me that you are a little bit younger than me

anyway, KB, on with the game...

Yes, I think that at 17 I am younger than the majority in the SG forum, though I am probably closer to the average age in some of the other subforums here at CFC.

Though my way looks the opposite of lazy, I assure you that in the long run, the idea is that this is the slacker approach. The slacker approach for people who don't need instant gratification.

Got it.

And I feel the AP pain bed_head. I had the same about two years ago, although to a much lesser extent, with just U.S. History and English. Did manage a 4 on the U.S. History though, got me 6 credits worth of classes out of my way.

one last thing besides the game here. bedhead, your age puts you in the same age group as the students I teach, funny isn't it?
