Bee Line to observing the stars?

I have been informed that the Governor wishes to build the Coprenicus wonder, but we lack a tech for it. I am opening up a discussion to see how people would feel about making a small detour just to get to the wonder. I am also opening up the floor for possible tech routes for the future.

Currently we are going on the path of Democracy with Education currently on haitus (Due because we are bound to get it via TGL). Right now I sense the citizens wishes to then go onto Military Tradtion.

We have no use for a navy and naval tech would be non-esential to us (Except for astronomy since we need that wonder). My plan is that once we are done with Democracy, that we should head onto the path twards military tradition. Since the President came to my office and informed me that the Governor wishes to build the Coprenicus. I began to plan to research up to the Prereqs for Astronomy and then proceed to Military Tradtion.

Now, the paths on debate are as follows:
1. After obtaining Education, research astronomy and then hop back on the Democracy path?
2. After researching Democracy, first research astronomy and then head to Military Tradtion
3. After researching Democracy, imediately head to Military Tradition.

I would find that #2 and #1 would be more plausable since Astronomy is one of the required tech to proced and is a prereq for ToG (via Physics), Its best to kill two birds with one stone and have astronomy under our belt .

It would be interesting if this discussion turns out to be for naught if Persia knows astronomy before we know education (I doubt it will be that fast, however). I doubt that we'll be able to trade banking for astronomy straight-up (as Persia likely will be researching that at the time), but anyways I would support option #3.

Option 3 for me too. I'm sure we'll be able to trade for Astronomy.
