Just a new playthrough on Gedemon (Cookie's giant map) TSL mod with 22 civs King level. I know I am Russia but don't know most of the other civs.
The year is 175 AD. The location: Europe. The Russian Empire took over both Polish and Greek colonies early and block off the Baltic from pesky settlers from other nations. We control the most power in Fur and Dye trading. Poland adopted Catholicism and we quickly converted for the Holy Warrior teachings. The other religious powers are Spain (Eastern Orthodoxy), and England (Protestantism).
Meanwhile to our east, Europe plunged into turmoil. The Austrian Empire took over Germany cities and push Germans to the north and Scandinavia. We fear that not for long, other princes of nearby realms would join Austria in diplomatic marriage.
Farther still, the Spanish Queen Isabella held dominion over the Iberian Peninsula, forcing Maria 1 of Portugal to exile in western Europe.
A coalition of Greece, Rome, and Spain forces was created to take us down.
With no more hope for peace with other European powers, our statesmen decreed that our people shall traveled east with the intent to find more riches and lands to live on. Along the way, our warriors encountered many barbarians and exotic people from faraway places. They present us with sweet Sugar in exchange for our comfy Fur.

The continents are as large as on a Large map, but the small size makes it load very fast and there's still room for 22 civs. Granted that Europe is smaller than I'd like, despite being enlarged, but you can only do so much.
